Remember how I drove my friend's red '04 the other day? That has a JVC head unit with what I believe to be the factory speakers, and it actually sounded pretty good!

Year's ago at an old job we had an Astro Van, that was also a pile of garbage.

 

With AWD and a G80 locking rear, they are a blast in the snow! I know this from experience; When I worked at Puck, we had a 1999 GMC Safari SLE AWD. The A/C didn't work, and it had electrical problems, but ran great and with AWD and posi rear was a mountain goat in the snow!

 

Not very much of anything worked on the one we used, even the front doors were broke, we had to go in and out of the sliding door, lol.

 

Astros and Safaris aren't bad; Just sounds like you got one that was abused!

 

I honestly expected the rear diff to lock up or grenade as it screamed so loud once you got above 20 MPH. All the vehicles we had were abused, mostly had pickups but also remember some Ford Minivan for several people to take road trips in.

For the life of me i cant remember as I was never in it, possibly could have even been a Windbag.

 

I remember the gold 2001 Windbag seen i the first post blew a radiator hose once in 2009; the van smelled like cat piss for weeks!

 

That's awesome!

 

I loved my mom's 2004 Honda Odyssey, but that's the exception to the rule. If I ever buy a van it'll be a 1980s or early 90s Chevy/GMC or Dodge Shaggin' Wagon! To quote a country song by Joe Diffie, "There's somethin' women like about a pickup man..."
