Crazy that nobody called police on guy #1 or got his plate. Feel bad for guy #2. Why the heck did folks swerve across 3 lanes just to slam on brakes in front of you? Crazy heck of a day.

Good luck with insurance claim. If they total it are you gonna buy it back and make it your mod truck? Take the plastic fender off on all sides and knock the dent out the side. Throw some 37's on it.

Man that sucks, some people need to chill out and get on with their day.

...if they total it or get you a new cap can I have your old rear window from your Leer?

Well that sucks. 12-14k . Glad your ok. What a simple tap of the brakes could have avoided.

Unlikely that I would buy it back if they total it.. it's my DD so would probably just get another Tacoma to replace it

That sucks OP. Looks like over $10K to me and if the frame is bent it's adios for the truck.

Driver #1 is definitely a dick. But using bear spray on the "bitch"... I don't think that would make driver #1 the "bitch". Just sayin'.

How were you not at fault?

Turning in front of a vehicle at speed is violating their right of way. You clearly had no time to even complete the lane change before he hit you.

I know there was guy #1 who may have intimidated you, with a verbal confrontation at this point, but you pulled in front of #3 who could've very easily been seriously harmed or killed along with others. Just curious.

This is all clearly hypothetical but if driver #1 just got me T-boned on a highway and then had the audacity to continue to approach the vehicle. You don’t know their intentions especially if their road rage just got you into an accident. I’m not condoning violence but you still need to be aware.

If the guy got out of his vehicle and is walking up to my vehicle then I definitely do know driver #1's intentions. If I'm going to be on the receiving end of an assault charge, which is what spraying bear spray would do, I'm going to make sure that charge is for a helluva lot more than bear spray.

It sounds like he took the left hand turn that he was supposed to take, and he other guy was trying to as well, but the other guy was in the right hand Lane trying to get into the left lane

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
Damn, that sucks to say the least. Luckily no one was hurt and hopefully, insurance is too big of a pain in the ass to deal with. After a similar situation where someone thought I cut them off, I installed a dashcam.

If you had just let him in even though he was being an idiot. And I quote “ I didn’t let him in” this would not even be a discussion. Sucks the truck got messed up.

Guy #3 that hit me was in my lane, trying to slow down and changed lanes at the same time as me resulting in hitting me. Because he was in my lane and I was in front, the car in front has the right of way. In weird situations like this it also comes down to which car hit which car from what I understand

both are right hand turns but the left lane takes a wider turn, the right lane takes an immediate sharp turn. There is a barrier that makes it a very dangerous turn for the right hand to take to the further on-ramp
