Day 7 of this stinking cold/flu for me. Day 6 for my wife.

I’m in shock at Neil Peart’s passing away. As I’m a drummer he has been very influential in my playing. It seems like only yesterday I was at the last concert at the Forum here in Los Angeles. When he came out from behind the drums at the end of the show (for those not familiar with their shows, that’s not something he did) and joined Geddy and Alex it was really something.

I've been getting sucked into other areas of TW since the holidays and this cold spell...I need to back out some again. Boy there are a lot of whiners out there. Every time I see the tech bashing I think of you...so far I've been successful at backing out without engaging, but it won't be long before I "take the bait" if I don't make a change. Time to cull my watched threads again. You know how much you're respected and valued here. Don't let 'em get to you.

I think I’m nearing the end....I hope. Palma is usually a super fast healer but this thing has grabbed a hold of her like crazy. It hasn’t helped her that she is doing a new job, while still doing her old one and trying to teach someone at the same time. She’s been working 12 hour days and then still is insisting on doing things for me (I’ve said it before, I’d be lost without her), and our spoiled rotten cats. I think she needs some rest. Right now she’s sleeping so I’m trying to be as quiet as I possibly can.
