That’s what I have been thinking about. It is really the only good time I can take off from work and not keep my son out of school for 2 weeks (spring break)

Just skip Colorado completely and spend all your time south. Me and Shellshock were there in July last year and the trails were still closed.

Colorado will still be getting snow over like 8000 feet and the north rim of the Grand Canyon will still be closed. A TX / NM / AZ trip would be doable in March, I’ve actually been thinking about doing that. Utah might be doable in March at lower elevations, I’d have to look into that. Would be a good time to get to capitol reef when it’s empty.

I don’t really want to skip it completely. Being that I’ve never been there before, we want to just go up there and stay. Didn’t really plan on wheeling there, it was more of a stop along the way. Moab is the main focus of the wheeling.

I don’t really mind the snow, not planning on doing much or any wheeling in Colorado. It was more of a sight seeing stop. Myself and my kid has never seen it. Grand Canyon is something we read about in one his books and he wants to see it.

Idk where they wheel during the Easter Jeep safari but the end of March is when I’ll be there then the following week after I leave will be the EJS. I wouldn’t imagine I would see even half of moab during 4-5 days but at least get to experience it

There's a gluttons for punishment crew headed that way ish in July....

The week before EJS will still be pretty busy, lot
of pre-running and route setting, campgrounds and vendor areas start to look alive too.

Moab isn’t nearly as big as you’d expect.

if you are heading to Colorado, check out great sand dunes and black canyon. Rocky Mountain national park is cool but the pass will be closed and as well as most of the park.

right on. Tbh we were just going to get to Colorado then crash, cruise around for a while then head to moab when we feel like. I’ve got some research in to see what parks to go to along the way and if there will be closures, as I figured there would be some

Planning on camping or hotels? Could do something like this. Black canyon is on the way from sand dunes to Moab. I spent quite a bit of time out west for work 2 years ago across AZ / NM / UT / CO in January & February so if you got questions let me know.

That’s not a bad route. We do plan on camping a few days and hitting hotels a few days. So it will be a mix

That thing that people on Instagram always have on their truck. You know. The ones who don’t do rough wheeling?

Damn is he smart! One is gas one is water, water one is for the walk to the gas statsta to ask for a tow, not admitting it's a ford.
