Thankfully at 41 I don't need anything for that!! You'd be the person to ask about high cortisol levels though? I haven't researched enough to know..

Cortisol is extremely bad for everyone. Stress... It's everywhere and we don't even know it sometimes. Cortisol is responsible for a ton of competitors losing. Typically final moments you'll see some people just not "dry" enough, typically due to stress/cortisol. I do believe it can lower test, as well as many other health factors. Stress is brutal.

Meal planned last weekend, shopped Saturday and cooked Sunday, ate prepped breakfast and was 50/50 for lunch. This week I’ll a larger variety of lunches (more than chicken with rice and veggies) and about the same for breakfasts.

First run of the year tonight, starting to stretch the distance slowly and attempting (failing) to hold the same pace.

My watch has settings for open water and indoor swimming. Probably will never use them, except for maybe if I go kayaking. But also wonder if the GPS running mode would be better. I think swimming watches use algorithms with GPS to track since technically you cannot get GPS signal underwater.

There’s a few watches that are surf specific. RipCurl has one that I really want. It tracks a bunch of stuff. I’m sure it’d tickle your fancy if you were in to water sports. Tracks paddle distance, speeds, wave distance surfed.

    Swimming is just... hard LOL.

Although I like to have treading water contests to see who can tread water the longest while holding their beer above water.

I recently met a guy who was a long distance swimmer and has done like a 50 mile swim :bananadead:

    Like a super beast athlete.

Swimming is definitely hard. When I was surfing a lot I would go and swim laps and I was gassed after a few and I considered myself in fairly good swimming shape.

I give props to people who swim.
I couldn’t do it. I would do an Iron Man if it was 140.3 miles of running. But 2.4 miles of swimming... pass!

Half mile on the treadmill to warmup (treadmill made my shin splints kick in, going back to road running) and then 15 minutes of the circuit and 15 minutes on the bike at level 10 resistance, 85RPM target.

I started the fiance on her new diet and workout plan for 2020.

Her mentality was so messed up after placing "5th" last year on her 2nd show. It has been a huge struggle the past 3 months. Week 2 she is already feeling better about herself. Time will tell once she gets back in "shape".

Nobody ever tells you how mentally demanding this sport can be, it sucks at times and it's great at times. I feel it as well, and I don't compete, (yet, maybe, ever?)
