I had Kalā do the work while I was working on the mainland. Should stop by his shop. If you not familiar, his shop is up next to Kauai Athletic Club up in Kapahi

Got my stripes put back on also the tailgate decals that weren’t there when I bought it. I put New “Tacoma” badges too I’m stoked on how crispy it looks now. Looks almost like it probably did off the lot idk. Waiting for this rain season to gtf outta here so I can finally give it a nice wash and a good hard wax layer. Like I said in the beginning, slowly but surely coming together without being too radical. I need a fresh undercoating, and a brake job. Possibly looking at a PowerStop setup as my front calipers are hashed. Also need bucket seats of the year so that I can have the truck completely returned to the original “SX” that it was.C2421B46-5697-4593-B55F-270418370262.jpg 3CDC457C-52C5-465B-AECD-8AE5847B04DD.jpg 2227756B-4236-4C25-86D9-547A083003FD.jpg 079AAD2E-9EB1-4F37-8C51-C060BC752358.jpg A1FB5384-AB85-43F3-AF6D-7FEFBC3206FE.jpg

Rolled past you last weekend in Lihue right by the intersection in front of KFC, your truck looks super clean in person! Looking at getting a bed rack setup for my truck but contemplating between Thule and Yakima, how you liking yours so far?

I like the Thule Xsporter pro because its adjustable by the inch. I usually carry fishing gear but when I put my canoe on I raise it up a few notches to clear my foot wells. Plus I never really liked the look of some racks that stick way higher than the roof line haha. If you go with these go buy um through Kuhio Ford they have a better deal than online I think. I bought mine open box because they used it for a truck in a commercial and took it off.

Thanks pal! It’s not showroom standards but it’s still a little cool lol. Supercharger is so fun. Make sure you get the high boost setup. I received my water/methanol injection kit and real close to putting it in so stay tuned haha. Got that inspiration from @1997tacomav6

I got a new (used but still cherry) rear bumper and a set of some rare flat clear lenses for the tail lights and third brake for a deal. Don’t ask my why but people pay coin for these fkn lenses. On the streets up to $450 a set. 341A5D06-73DF-4117-9A83-40A9A0A00765.jpg05071784-153F-4505-B367-CC06B687C3B5.jpg

Congrats on the new job! Been seeing a lot of guys working down by the airport lately pulling wire heading towards Ahukini. I’m about the pull the trigger on some clear headlights and clear taillights from a dude selling them in Kapaa, but I haven’t come across anybody who is running his stuff so I’m weary of moisture getting in.

Brakes needed an emergency replacement. The 25 year old calipers had seized pistons on both sides causing excessive wear and the shit load of brake dust on my wheels. Power Stop in the future but for now Autozones brand will do the job.D518E65F-CA53-430E-92E2-70F4EA0ED17B.jpg 0551CDE1-D8D7-4948-9E6F-5E178BA968D4.jpg

The underneath looked like it needed a refresh so went to NAPA to scope out some aerosols. I Knew I needed to put back some rubberized stuff under the fenders since it looked like it all fell off over the years and the frame needed to be black and protected again.4960FA78-4704-4582-9C9F-8EA9873DAE53.jpg096B1C92-C68A-4836-A1C7-52E3F0D49DD2.jpg C7DB4915-BF49-415C-BFBE-A0319E7B8B63.jpg970CBC56-4EB9-480E-887F-87878AE313E9.jpg 55E337FB-37D3-44D6-9FC9-ED713E8572F3.jpg77752B6F-157A-479C-B7FF-540DCA006695.jpg
