Idk. Weddings should be about what the couple getting married wants. Not what the family wants. Sorry, but if my gf/wife/fiance/ whatever's family was that controlling, Id yank the eject lever. And I wouldnt let my own parents do the same.

I side with @JKO1998, elope and be done with it.

I think my sisters is gonna be just shy of $10k. Maybe having it in Nowheresville, NC helps, but either way, it can be done cheapishly yet good.

Yeah we got ours done for just under that, we kept it to under 50 people which helped. Feeding and getting booze for a hundred plus guests is where you really get killed on cost

She's doing great, appreciate you asking. Being only 6 days old she's still in newborn survival phase...eat, sleep, poop and cry when awake lol. Got her sleeping in my arm right now actually

    Well done and congrats!

Side question, how did we survive as a species in the early years? Our newborns are the most helpless and likely hindering things in the animal kingdom, they give up your location to predators, they have no ability to be even slightly useful for years, we have a long ass gestation period, we don't have a single useful instinct for survival. I'm amazed sometimes that we made it to the very top of the chain.

All I know is, if the movie "A Quiet Place" comes true, those who have kids are screwed.

I think ours came in just under 22k and that was in 2012! Vampires I say...

@Sperrunner save the money on the photographer, @eon_blue will do it. lol. Ryan man - check this.. the photographer we hired, awesome references, kick ass samples... the guy (and his wife) were really good. Come back from the honeymoon expecting to have our photos uploaded and ready for viewing/sharing... pfft nothing. Took nearly 2 months before the mfer responded to my emails and letters. Must've been that last one sent certified threatening to sue his ass. Anyway, shows up with a couple of portable drives I copy over all the originals and he promises to fulfill with our album, blah blah blah. At least I had our originals at that point. Vanishes again. Like a year later this fool has the testes to come back and tell me we need to square our bill (we didn't pay him obviously - no fulfilled package, no payment). I told him he was lucky I wasn't coming at him for our security deposit for breach of contract.

Miguel, vendors will treat your future wife like a princess. Read everything. Be professional of course but don't let them get away with anything - some will definitely try too. If you need a lead on a top notch video guy, let me know.

Haha I asked my wife that the other day in the hospital after she was born...it really is crazy to think that humans could pull this off without the resources and medical knowledge we have today. But it probably does explain why people had so many kids back then...it was likely spoke of them wouldn't make it. And the mothers...giving birth without hospitals and doctors. Was definitely a dangerous affair

Yeah but 2WD swapping is nothing special, you can cut the whole freaking thing apart if you wanted to to make it fit. This is pretty damn neat and 4WD was retained
