Use those on one side, stick axe/shovel on other with quickfists.

That's what my roommate does and what I will likely do. With 1-2 cases on top like the Devil Penguin, maybe.

Just offering other suggestions to think on. I feel like rotopax's are just too small for what they're asking when other options are far better. Save ya some money. Hell, even a pvc pipe across the roof rack would be more appealing, not much room in those either though.

They are also explodey. I’ve seen many swollen ones and stories of ones that broke open and dumped fuel everywhere. That’s why I bought the wavian Jerry cans. Never lost a drop in 4 years and no need to vent them

Yeah, I've heard stories of the leaks and explosions too. I wouldn't risk it for the biscuit on an $80 small, poopy plastic container.

Roommate using his trailer for this. Can see the jerry can mount behind, there's a propane tank mount too in front.

Go CHIEFS! Just saying howdy! Question though. Who do you recommend in the KC area for maintaining rust prevention - or do you folks just DIY?

Thanks Jeff! I've been washing her down real good after our winter weather, I had a 07 FJ that had some bad rust issues and just trying to stay on top of it this time around.
Im probably over-thinking or assuming that its a complete PIA to crawl around underneath and spray everything- then again it may not be that bad. DIY - seems to be the way to go.

i normally go up to the car wash and lay on the ground to get the underside as best as i can

I usually just let mine sit and washed it when it got warm enough. I’ve got a few small rust spots but nothing crazy

I did fluid film this fall. Just washed everything then sprayed it with the aerosol cans of fluid film. I think I used 3
