At the dealership now for my 10k service. I asked the service rep what it would cost (for shits and giggles) for them to install it. Quoted me two to three hours at $288. I respectfully declined. I KNOW WHAT IM DOING THIS WEEKEND. :woot:

1 hour, 3 beers and 50 zip ties later and done. The actuator is pretty quiet under operation. The kit is as plug and play as it gets. Great quality.

Can't wait to have a go at this install. Thanks for the zip ties idea.

The kit brings 30-40 zip ties. Not every single one is needed imo but I put most on. You guys will like it.

The access cab is only available with a longbed so the LB part isn’t necessary after the AC so it’s generally just AC

1200$ install- they have to be smoking crack! But don’t they have estimated time listed on their end- it shouldn’t matter that they never done it, your not paying them (supposed to imo) hrly to “learn” on your dime.

it’s like saying well the guy never changed oil before so even though it says 1 hr install we are going to charge you 5… see my point

I fully agree, and that is why I did it myself, like I mentioned in my post...

My kit will be here tomorrow, and plan on installing it next weekend. One thing that concerns me a bit is that my 19 has bed lights, which I thought was just a standard feature but I'm reading that they may have been an add-on. I can't figure out for the life of me why this would be listed as a conflict. Hopefully it all works out.

I’m with you. I have the bed lights on my 19 and want to add the tailgate lock but heard the same thing which is why I haven’t ordered it yet

Those on this thread that have both have stated no issue...but no one reads the whole thread...

What I saw about that discussion was mainly from someone who had a '20. Then there was discussion about if it fit 16-18 or even earlier. I didn't specifically see someone who had a '19 and the bed light kit that specifically states there is a conflict. I'm still wondering why if neither the -19 or 20 kits go down the passenger side there would be an issue, but either it is a mistake or there's some unknown reason. I assume my kit was installed by SET because it is wired into the exterior dome switch. All I can do is add another data point for @whatwhatinthetruck.

Installed it Friday on my 19. ZERO issues. Works great, and the actuator isn't loud.

My buddy, and I found it easier to unscrew the passenger seat. Also, there was slight confusion about the grommet that the instructions tell you to remove. The photos look to point at the wrong one, so I had to go under the cab and point out the right one.

    Took just over an hour.
