Alrighty, figured out a few things, and how to get around these shenanigans.
The fuel pump control is tricky, complex enough that I'm not going to disclose it here.

For those of us who wanted a V8 option in the TRD PRO:
Interesting video comparing dyno #'s and track times with Ford's Ecoboost 3.5 vs Coyote 5.0 (stock and tuned)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70GgjKdAtZs

    Dyno (wheel not crank):
    Ecoboost 3.5L
    stock: 321 WHP, 370 TQ
    Tuned: 373 WHP, 403 TQ

    Coyote 5.0
    stock: 353 WHP, 341 TQ
    tuned: 366 WHP, 355 TQ

Aside from missing the sweet V8 exhaust notes, you can't argue with the low torque & tuning ability of a boosted V6

Can't wait to see OVT's dyno numbers. I'm guessing the PowerMax dyno #'s will be similar or better than the tuned Ecoboost. Glad to see Mat spending lots of time in R&D but can't wait for this TT kit to be available. Many of us have been patiently following this kit for over a year. Certainly will be worth the wait.

Well we are making more than the tuned ecoboost numbers.

probably on par with tuned numbers of a new version Raptor

The ecoboost and the raptor ecoboost are the same motor just a different OEM tune strategy. Everything is the same else wise. What numbers are you seeing?

Also the tuning numbers you see from a stock SCT are not nearly what aftermarket tuners like 5star can really make. Not really a fair assumption to say about the ecoboost. Regardless the powermax turbos from what I understand are good for about 600hp with a more efficient wastegate than the full race gt turbos. You picked an awesome turbo to build off of and I bet tuning from you guys will really make this thing fly

The 17+ Raptor/ecoboost uses a newer garrett turbo with electronic wastegates, and is capable of about 450ftlbs/450whp before moving to ethanol.

the powermax version turbos outperform those new turbos as well. But we aren't pushing it as high.

I won't say what we are making until tuning is done but we have passed the 500 ft lb mark @ 3000 rpm. and 400 ft lbs mark at 2500 rpm

The powermax kit will come with a fuel system upgrade, which totals:
    650cc injectors ~ 775cc at ramp pressure
340LPH in tank fuel pump which fits in the OEM basket
OVTune plug and play fuel pump controller that replaces the stock fuel pump controller.

How is the transmission holding up with these torque numbers?

    So far no issue surprisingly.
These numbers are with the torque converter fully locked. I have not tested with unlocked t/c, and I think we will keep the tune locked at fully boost.

Maybe in the future a 3rd party vendor can mold a plastic functional snorkel underneath the hood scoop to make it finally functional. Lol.

Dont take it the wrong way sir and I'm certainly not trying to get into a pissing match with you since you know waaaayyy more than I could ever know.

Ford never actually announced it but was found out on another forum the 17 turbos are smaller than the 18+ which are about the size of the GT turbos. That's why the 18+ can get closer to 500whp+ with a good tune. I can agree with you that the powermax are a much better turbo than the OEM 18+ turbos too. I wont ask for numbers but I bet you are making some serious numbers and keep up the great work :D

Not an expert but it looks like there may be a difference from 2017 (Borg Warner HL3E 6C879) to 2018 (Borg Warner JL3E 6K682). I have no idea what the difference is.
