    Hey guys, ive seen loads of forums talking about wheel spacers on stock tacos but none for a trd pro......

    Trd pro wheels are already offset roughly .5" more than an OR and has a 1" lift in the front, does anybody have any experience using a spacer with stock pro suspension and rims?

    Looking at Spydertrax 1.25" wheel spacers.

    Planning on throwing on 265/75 R16s on aswell.

    I don’t think you need spacers for the 265/75/R16’s, they should work just fine as is.

    I'm not so much worried about fitment. I just want the aggressive look with a wide stance. Interested in what people have done and if they have pictures because I want it to look good and not ridiculous lol

    I’m running 1.5” spacers with 265/75 tires.

    No rub?.

    I just got 265/75/16, and at full lock, it looks like it’s just about to rub cab mount.

    Yes my truck is a pro! Great to see the spacers on the same year pro as mine! Looks great!

    Pro_rome that setup looks good! With the bigger wheels and spacers do you get any rub?

    As with any mod there are some cons with installing wheel spacers;

    Suspension characteristics change. When you move the wheels further away from the stock wheel hub, you’re effectively giving more leverage to the wheel. On the negative side it means that springs don’t absorb bumps as well, shocks aren’t as effective at damping harshness, and steering requires more effort. On the positive side, wheels that are further apart are more resistant to rollover.

    Wider tires create additional suspension stress. Every suspension component is effected by wider tires. While there’s definitely something to be gained off-road with a 12.5″ wide tire over a 10.5″ wide tire, it’s important to ask yourself if the increased off-road ability is worth reducing the life of ball and CV joints, wheel bearings, etc. If you’re building an extreme off-road machine, you should be prepared for larger and more frequent suspension repair bills.

    These suspicions always get brought up when spacers are mentioned. I have yet to see or experience myself, any additional or unusual repairs that you could without a doubt blame on a spacer. Ive seen people run 100k plus on stock suspension even though it was well done years prior. I see people all the time insist on changing oil at 3k miles. This is subjective, speculation. It would be more accurate to argue that cheaply made spacers are a risk for stud failure, that I've seen. But yeah, the variance in torque and its traceable affect that spacers make on the longevity or durability of our suspension is of no real concern.

    My FJ was on original CVs, ball joints and wheel bearings, at 60k miles on Bora 1" spacers, with SCS wheels that pushed the wheel out a good 1.5" over stock. Running 34" Trail Grapplers that weighed 90+lbs wheel and tire. I traded it in and it was bought by someone I know, now 30k miles later, still havent replaced the CVs, ball joints or wheel bearings.

    Even Toyotas 4Runner Pro wheels and the Tundra Rock Warrior wheels stick out 1/2" more than the stock options.

    Gross. Spacers on a pro. Gotta be kidding me. Spacers are "pretty safe" but far from being 100% safe. Good luck.

    The first one is a spidertrax spacer that broke. Photo is from here Tacomaworld.
