Impressions from Bakflip MX4 Installation

Hey, I just encountered this issue. Two screws stripped on that front tie down. What method/tool did you use? Any suggestions on how to deal with those stripped fasteners?

 

Im on the same boat right now, any good solutions?

 

I ended up just drilling the bolts till they broke. They're pretty weak and easy to break with a small bit. Don't worry about damaging the bed. The bolts are actually screwed into a separate steel piece (you can see them if you peak into the gap between your cab and bed).

I felt so much better getting that rail off and finally installing the cover.

 

That’s exactly what I’m going to do first thing tomo! I got a couple that I have to drill off sadly.
