ARB bumpers are just the coolest. Wish they didn't weigh so dang much

    what stubby antenna is that?

Why the skinny tall wheels, if I may ask?
They look cool. First time I've seen that size. Just wondering if there's any motive behind choosing it.
I know for example rally race cars supposedly prefer skinny tires when on terrain like ice, possibly with studded tires, to dig in better sort of like the thin tire grabbing into the ground like a knife.

It's a 6 3/4" rubber stubby from theantennasource.com. The little antenna is convenient and unobtrusive, and the reception is OK -- I use XM most of the time and in the cities the FM reception is fine. In more rural areas one will notice it's not as good as the original antenna.

There's lots of discussion about wider or tall-narrow tires -- check ExPo for many threads on the subject. For my use, those 235/85-16 tires work well. They fill the wheel wells on my 2" OME-lifted truck, wear like iron with load range E / 10 ply construction, balance tire weight vs durability (although still weigh a ton), maintain adequate speedometer/odometer calibration (within a few percent), and give acceptable economy (around 17-ish mpg most of the time). I run the same size on my Gen 1 truck, so if I have to, they're interchangable. It's a common dually size, less so on our trucks.

Note, however, if our Tacomas were Hiluxes, they'd probably come with 205-section tires!

OK -- hijack off. Sorry guys!

Not to Ruidoso, but yes, through Cloudcroft in the snowstorm just before New Year's. That was a time-consuming trip with road closures due to multiple accidents before we got into Alamo.

Yeah that's a fun little road with some snow. Cloudcroft is a pretty cool little town. We made it over there a few times around Christmas this year.

This is a good looking truck. It looks like you just washed it then got a little dusting over night..

Fun day putzin. Just took the pic of truck from the back when a logging truck came rumbling up. Did a sprint to the truck, and the race was on.
    Good times.
