You know what’s an even better idea. Stroker that new engine. 60k’s not even broken in, lol. Start working on the new one while you boost the crap out of the old one.

As long as you do consistent maintenance, these trucks are awesome. BBC Top Gear once tired to kill a hilux. Like actively tried to kill it and couldn't.

I baby mine. Sure I have a little fun but with just shy of 45k miles, I’m aiming to keep this for the long haul. Mines a 14 and I got it on Feb of 15 with 11,400 miles. The s/c went on 3 months after I got it. And as you all know, mine is tastefully built but conservative.

    Sorry I missed your post!

I can turn them around and have them back in the mail to you the following day. I completely understand the Daily Driver aspect of the scenario here, so if you'd like to do overnight return shipping I can do that too.

I'm located in Ennis, TX. Just a little bit south of DFW.

    $250 will cover the credits/tune/flash.

To all who this may concern to, I need to determine something for your own better being.

Who has supercharger chirp from the serpentine setup at idle or slightly off idle when taking off?

In my most recent string of debacles, I decided to finally be proactive and do something about my incessant chirping only at idle and right before takeoff. What I found was that when I installed my pulleyboys Qwickchange hub and pulley that I spaced out my smooth idler right below the pulley 1/8" to compensate for the pulley being protruded out a hair more to make sure the belt wouldn't ride on the very edge of the smooth idler, what I didn't anticipate however, was that despite the ribbed pulley not requiring spacing to retain the belt on proper track, it needed to be spaced out a 1/8" as well and that the fact it wasn't spaced out alone by .125" further out made it the origination of the belt chirp I had been dealing with all this time. :frusty:

A note to the inquisition, belt alignment is EVERYTHING! If your pulleyboys or even smoothflow Qwickchange hub is not on track and it requires you space out your smooth pulley a touch, then you better do both of them immediately below the supercharger pulley or you will get endless squeaking that will drive you nuts forever.

Self imposed modding issues eh? :frusty:

So I was wondering the same, I can skip the dealership and you can do the TRD SC tune plus whatever other tweaks for my setup using HP. That’s amazing.

Just so I understand, if I find an ECU with the same part number as mine, it’s plug and play basically?

Correct, it'll be plug-n-play. You'll have to do the immobilizer reset procedure but that just takes a paperclip and jumping 2 pins on the OBD2 port.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like and we can work everything out. I'm happy to even source the ECU for you if need.
