Perhaps. I’ve just never experienced this particular issue in other front engine rear wheel drive pickups I’ve owned.

Well, there was the 87 4Runner. Great vehicle. Fit the wife and me and the three kids perfectly..........until kid number 4 came along. Hello, Toyota van.

When I realized I was only 2 years into a 6 year loan on a 2016 F150, sold it within a month and picked up my 2nd gen with only 90K miles on it CASH, payments be gone!

I had the transmission replaced about a year before and the bolts holding the subframe cradle worked themselves loose. Here's a picture on the tow truck. You can see the steering column a bit separated from the steering rack.

I had a Dodge Dakota and the tranny died less than 2,000 miles before the warranty ended, got it fixed and traded it off. Never owned a Chrysler product since.

Must have been one heck of a BBQ! How many brews did you have? LOL

I went to a New Years Eve Fish fry. Went to my 1999 7.3 powerstroke F-250 crew cab Super Duty 2 wheel drive on a flat level dew covered lawn...tires spun and spun, embarrassing! Decided that night I needed a four wheel drive truck. My 2015 2nd Gen Taco was added to the livery. Happy with both trucks. Heavy hauling with the Powerstroke. Everyday driver with the Tacoma.

Driving down the road with not much over 20k and my check engine light blinks and engine begins to stumble. I pulled over and shut her off quickly. Dealer said maybe water in gas even though I was running ethanol free. Still could be a possibility, so no big deal. Then the next week my rarely used driver sun visor falls off.. I still enjoy the truck, but am looking at a Tundra as my next vehicle. I still believe in Toyota quality, but this truck can be frustrating at times.
