    Newbie alert!

Just bought my first tacoma and am looking to upgrade my wheels/tires to something a little better looking than the steelies and street tires im rocking now. Just wondering what my wheel size/ tire size range would be. Goes without being said that rubbing is what im trying to avoid.

Post pics, give me your personal preference on looks, recommendations, all help is greatly appreciated

You can put 255/85r16s on those rims for skinny 33” and it looks pretty utilitarian.

You could also get new wheels. Something like 16x8 0 offset and 265/75r16 will clear without rubbing as well.

Do you plan to offroad or just want looks?

Drive a lot for work so 90% of the time its going to be for looks. With that being said i do hunt/fish/camp/go outdoors regularly so its going to see some miles off road.

You sure that aint a SR instead of an SR5?

Steel wheels, no fender flairs, or fog lights.

I was on the same boat! I’m rolling with 265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak AT3 with Method NV’s on stick suspension and there is no rubbing at 41FD116A-6C10-42C4-91E6-09A7FE14D501.jpg all!

Relentless bed rail brackets with QuickFists (shovel & axe) Hondo Garage Un-holey vent mount. CH4x4 switch for front camera and 'anytime' rear camera. Billet front mount seat risers. Bed mounted 4 lb fire extinguisher. Viair 88p. 265/75r16 Goodyear Ultra-terrain tires. Custom Sliders.
If you want quality on the cheap then watch Craigslist for someone selling their Tacoma OEM alloys and tires.

Just replaced my steelies with new truck take-offs (black SR5 alloys and tires with only 10 miles) for $650 found on CL.

Just monitor for a couple weeks.. something will pop up.

Nothing wrong with an SR just want to make sure you are getting what you purchased! I don't think that serial # matches up with the model, so if the dealer sold you that at an SR5 pricepoint then you got scammed. SR5 has SR5 badges by the rear window, tacoma badge on the sides, bottom fog lights, and chrome lining around grill (personally I think the SR grill is better than the SR5 grill).

I don't know what sort of deal you got with the dealership but if they sold you it at an SR price point they might have just mislabeled it as an SR5. If you purchased it at the price of an SR5, then they purposely scammed you. Keep us updated because I don't want the dealership to be taking advantage of you and other customers.

Here is a 2019 SR5 for reference. Subtle differences from the SR.

There is no offset so it’s a super clean look in my opinion. If you want a shot from the front let me know!

Been looking online at the differences between sr and sr5. Looks like you were right, It is an sr. But with that being said the dealership just mislabeled it. I searched long and hard and it was definitely sold at an sr5 price point. Im going to contact the dealer telling them the messed up.
