Just joined the club. This thing is a lot sturdier than I expected. Think I’m going to do a paracord grab handle on each side.

    Just the basics
Area in the pic looks familiar. DVNP?
Are there certain mounts for the rotopax that mount to the extruded aluminum tubing? If so I should store my fuel and water on the roof of my shell.

Yep, making our way out of Saline over to Racetrack... fun trip, especially when a disabled Lexus blocked the path!

Rotopax makes a bunch of mounts, singles and doubles.
The Rotopax are all 2 gallon containers that interlock on the bottom. The idea sounds cool, modular and EAF, but trying to lift up the two interconnected fuel packs evenly up and over the tight mounting brackets is a pain in the ass, and venting them flat is not possible.
My waters are secured with the FuelPax Delux mount and are able to be lifted one at a time as the spacing is wide enough that I dont need to interlock the water packs. The fuel is mounted on the universal plate, with the RotoPax Lox mounts. They are interlocked then placed on the mounts. I may ditch this method if I get a swing out. I opted to get the HC rear and no swingout since I stealth camp in the back so often. But It makes more sense to have the fuel mounted upright where it can be vented. Not a problem in the winter in DV, but Utah and crossing the Sierra in the summer causes them to swell like a balloon.

I haven't had time, or much sun, to take pics overlooking the sound, but I'm totally mobbing this mall.

Any of you guys having issues with the side bolts seizing up and not allowing you to move the cross bars around?

After 3 years, the bolts are stuck, and I had to cut off the bolt heads to remove the bars. Those button heads are too flimsy and all got stripped. Then the bars would be trashed at that point with the stuck and broken bolts.

I should have swapped them out to hex head bolts.

I had that issue a few years back. I lost one bar due to two seized bolts. I cut the heads off and trashed the bar. I got a new one and then went through every bolt and used anti-seize. I think one or two other bars and bolts are seized up but they're the bars that never move (one is for my lightbar and one is for my maxtrax mounting solution so it's not that big of a deal).

Use anti-seize on every single bolt.

Question for you guys using 1/4” carriage bolts on the Prinsu:

how much are you having to grind down the heads to fit into the channels?

I went to work with the grinder and there isn’t much left and they still barely fit. Am I missing something?

I'd try different bolts. My 1/4" bolts from Home Depot and Lowes have play in the channels when they aren't tightened

That's insane. Mine from Home Depot fit with plenty of play. I just wish I could have gotten some 1/2" or 3/4" but all they had were 1" and up.

The 1/4" bolts I have are 1/2" long from both HD and Lowes

Damn. I bought them from HD. Took me over 1/2 hour to grind them all down In order to fit.

Are you guys saying you have found bolts that fit straight into the channels?

The standard chrome plated fine thread carriage bolts slide right in. Where you at in SD? I have a few extras.

I'm pretty positive they are steel. They may be SS but im not honestly not sure what they are. They haven't rusted at all.

I’m in University City. I work in Kearny Mesa. Looking for 4 eight now at about an inch long.

That’s crazy, because the ones I bought are no where near fitting without serious grinding.
Maybe it’s because I bought SS?
