For anyone that bought the Princess Auto or the traction boards off of Amazon this is what I made up to mount mine. Super easy to make. If you have a 3rd gen like me you'll need to add a third tie down rail to the front of the box.

Basically its 2 brackets that just drop into the OEM tie down cleats on the front rail. I mounted the boards on 3/8 threaded rod with clear fuel line over them. Then another piece of flat bar goes on top held on by wingnuts. I mount my shovel to the flat bar with a couple Quick fist clamps. No tools to required to put them in or take them out.

I ordered some as well. Under $30 I'll give it a try.

See if it helps a little but most of the water I get is from the cover leaking not the tailgate

You have a BakFlip MX4 right? Aside from the tailgate, where is yours leaking from? The mounting rails are supposed to act as drain channels right?

Ya they are, the problem is the water goes under the rails that sit on the bed side. I went and got a thicker seal that was recommended, there was no way it would work as it lifted it too high. Got one that was thinner, it last a year then now leaks again

I recently took my cap off, removed the bed rails, sealed under there, re-sealed the corners up by the cab and put a thicker gasket seal all the way around. Still leaks like a fucker all the way down and drips off my bed cleat closest to the tailgate. I gave up

That’s brutal dude! I dono how some people just say use this or use that and there’s no issues, meanwhile you’ve tried like 10 things and none seem to work

I'm there myself. I think it's the windows that leak though. I was looking at them and installation leaves a lot to ask for (I'd do it better blindfolded). Will take my cap off in the spring to reseal everything and protect the bed itself (paint rub on the top of the bed). Also, side windows have to be replaced for the opening ones.
    Time will tell...

i'll check my Ultraflip later on to see if i'm getting any water inside, i don't think i have leaking issues with it but then again i'm not worried about water in the bed as most of my stuff is inside the black box.
    IMG_20190911_175921.jpg
@3JOH22A runs the same boxes but i have no idea what brand they are, rubbermaid maybe? have 2 that have been in the family for 20 years
and its new life is inside my truck, the other is still a storage bin in the basement
    edit: it's this one https://www.rona.ca/en/storage-tote-0022003--1

my only issues with the tonneau cover is that i just that it freezes to the tailgate... I slathered on some grease this year in hopes to stop it but it's more of a mess

My rails have a similar design (Bak and Extang are the same company), but the panels have more overlap with the bedside so the seals have more pressure on them. When it gets warmer I'll set up a GoPro inside the bed and spray water with a garden hose.

The tailgate seal will definitely keep sand and dust out though. When setting up camp at VMUTS last fall, I spent 15 minutes wiping away sand from the bed before laying down the sleeping pad. Hitting 100 kph on the "green" roads did that.
I got my GSC storage boxes from Princess Auto, but PA stopped carrying them late last year: https://webcache.googleusercontent....+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca&client=firefox-b-d

It's better for the seals to use silicone spray: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/3-in-one-professional-silicone-lubricant-311-g-0381562p.html (works for door seals, electrical connector O-rings, hoses, and exhaust hangar bushings, too)
