    It's worth it, I bought mine with a blown up motor, put a used $500 dollar motor in it, did a bunch of upgrades, cleaned it up and got some serious money for it. Here is a pic just before I sold it.

    what made you decide to get rid of it? I would have kept that thing.

    I was planning on keeping it forever, drove it to work every spring/summer. Took it camping all the time and let the kids drive it around. Then someone called and said they heard I had a LC FJ-40 and wanted to know if I would sell it. When I told him my price, he said ok without even looking at it. So I sold it at my price $$$$$ and not a penny less. Then bought the wife a new car, both kids cars, put my oldest in collage, and paid off some bills. Now looking back, I regret 100% selling it. Still looking for one today.

    I did a double take on those axles. Then read the description. FJ40s have an offset rear axle. Those pickup axles are a down grade IMO.

    Cool cruiser otherwise!
