Jim_Bob hooked me up with this dude who makes Jerky. It's unlike anything I've ever tasted. It's not chewy at all-it's melt in your mouth delicious. Holy shit, it's good!

Find BASJ on Instagram. If you want some, DM. It goes down like a crack-deal-we met at a parking lot for the handoff. Comes in No Spice, Regular, Spicy, and Extra-spicy. I got regular to gauge how spicy. I'mma get spicy or extra spicy next time.

    (This one's very promising)

Gave the firewall the ol' snip-snip, and then added a bulb seal.

I'm doubting there'd be enough room. I made the hole kinda egg-shaped.

Mine has a bit of a rattle on fire roads. I used some striping/trim, but after looking up bulb sealing I think that would cushion it up just right. Thanks.

    My pipe is 3".
Used a 3-1/4" holesaw and almost snapped my wrist. Teeth weren't sharp enough I guess. I also mistakenly tried to cut it flat versus doing it at an angle. Just ripped my shit up. I ended up using a dremel and carefully cut it by hand.

When the engine is under load, the motor-mounts allow flex. Since I removed the stock accordion elbow, it's now very rigid. Since the area on the firewall isn't very tall there, and my largest hole-saw at the time was a 3.5", I had to hone it out a bit with a Dremel. My first attempt to buffer space between the cut firewall and aluminum intake tube was the fender trim from when I cut for HC. That was to hard, and it made a bunch of noise. I then tried some 3/8 hose, slit down the side, but that was also still noisy.

This bulb seal needed more space to mount (the bulb itself is 1/2"), but so far it looks promising.

The air filter is still stock, all I did was relocate the intake location to just inside the firewall.

Never had a noise problem on mine. Used the hose gasket, and made mine a oval shape going into the firewall about 1.5".
4r has a rain gutter attached to the upper plastic vent shield. Had to make it like that to clear it.

    Hi All,

Someone broke into my garage last night and stole two bikes.
    People suck ass.

If you see these two bikes floating around Nor-Cal please let me know.

    Shit man...that sucks!

I'd recommend posting here - https://forums.mtbr.com/california-norcal/ Those guys have located a few stolen bikes. Also, call around to all the local bike shops.
Do you have any kind of home owner's or renter's insurance?
Same thing happened to a buddy of mine in Santa Cruz. 5 bikes were grabbed, 3 or them were like yours and his renter's insurance paid out the replacement cost of all five bikes.
I have a Turner 5.Spot and a Turner Burner I keep in a spare bedroom out of paranoia of them getting stolen.

    Hey guys

anyone put any anti rust spray on the underside of their truck for fear of driving up to Tahoe or truckee and facing salt on the roads? (I’m talking a few visits a year in the snow)

I got a buddy at work who just got a Tundra and is pretty adamant I need to spray some sort of salt protectant spray on my frame and underside if I plan on doing any trips to the snow with my taco.

Not sure if it’s really necessary considering I don’t live there and all that

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Quick answer is no. Just make sure you rinse the underside of your truck pretty quick after coming back from the salt roads. I never had a problem with mine living in Kansas for 10 years. I always washed the truck the moment it was warm enough for me to handle hosing the truck off.

    Thanks that’s what I figured

I live in Sacramento so I can always just spray it when I get back barring any rain storms

But if it’s storming rain here it’s storming snow up there usually and I don’t care to drive when it’s actually snowing personally so I should be fine!

Driving in the snow is lots of fun. As for the roads being salted, that’s mostly a Midwest/East Coast thing. I’ve never had an issue in California. But, if you’re worried, just hose it down from time to time, as was mentioned.

I don’t think they use salt in CA.

just sand and that stuff they recently started using that they spray on before the freezing cold/storm.

I guess once you get into NV they might use salt.
