Headed of to work soon, will explain via PM when I have time. It's not only possible, it's the honest truth. Long straight through drive from my house to NW CO., 36 hours to be exact. Think about it. That's 5 8cigarettes an hour.

** Add lots of black coffee and several 5 Hour Energy drinks.
Done the drive the same way 13 out of 14 times, not with the cigarettes of course.

Lucky for you, I'm currently bored at work, so lurking the forum and saw your reply.

I went back and forth between the BlackVue and ThinkWare, but ended up going for the BlackVue because of the 4K recording and what I perceived to be lower-profile looks (and the Amazon seller had it on a ridiculous deal), I don't think you could go wrong with either one though. I'm still adjusting the impact sensitivity. Default records bumping over expansion joints on bridges as "events." Overall I like it though, especially the parking mode and cloud connectivity. I did hard wire, yes. Be aware: the Add-A-Fuse taps the battery comes with are not the right size for the micro-mini-tiny-sons-a-b*tches our trucks have. Was an additional $4 and trip to Advance to get the right one.

    Edited to add pics:

If I remember to before it gets dark, I might be able to sneak out and get some snaps of the cable run, battery, rear camera, etc. Will edit post again if I do...

I took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather and installed a 3rd brake light on the Softopper. Also dropped the spare and found some rust on the frame where the Fluid Film had missed. ugh. Hit it with POR-15. Fluid Film all the things!IMG_2489.jpg

Chain-smoked the whole way? I did that going only from Pensacola to Atlanta one time. Burned through two and a half packs in the four and a half hour drive.

    Now I've been smoke-less and vape-less since October 2018.

Monster Jam was amazing to see what $$ could get. Definitely show him the difference between “mall crawlers” and those that know how to get dirty in SLO or Glamis or south of the border!!

No!!!!!!!!!!!! That would cause your rear axel to act as a pivot and place less weight on the front axel and your steer tires. The proper place to put weight for maximum traction is slightly ahead of the rear axel!

Washed her. So far the coating is holding up ok. This was after a short drive home from the car wash so she got a little funk on the way.

Congratulations. You must feel better, I know I do.
Don't even know what a pack of butts go for these days but I do know it would definitely dip into my mod fund.
At least with the mods I end up with something to show for the $$ that I spent.

Might even be around for a few more years to annoy you all for my efforts. :D

    Nice!

I have everything I need, just need to do it. haha I might end up placing it on the actual Rear window so that it’s easier to replace if I need too.

    looks good in smoked.

Good stuff! I have the DR900 and went the easy way. I used the obd2 plug-in, literally just plug and play.

Completely agree when talking about a heavier trailer connected even farther behind the tailgate. That's going to create a greater moment. But that's not what we are talking about. We ate talking about basically the weight of a human sitting close to the tailgate being enough to decrease the weight on the front suspension. I agree with the trailer statement. Still not buying 200 pounds isn't better at the tailgate. Going to have to go to the recycle yard and borrow the scales. My guess would be 0 impact on the front axle and plus 200 on the back. Putting it against the frontof the bed would add 75 ish pounds to the front and 125 to the rear. Guessing.

Its pretty crazy how much of a difference they make. you would think by looking at them that they would be rough as hell, but man every time I drive the truck I’m loving it. Did you end up using the factory shims for the pinion angle? Or did you just install the springs as is?

So much better! Congrats to you as well, I know quitting isn't easy.
Around my area they're in the $5-$6/pack range, and yes, would definitely eat into my meager fund as well.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Doesn't this belong somewhere else? If I want political based arguing I'll turn on the news.
