Mine has done it since new. My old Scion used to do it as well but mostly after I cooked the clutch one day by accident. Figured that clutch was glazed.

Just trying to figure out if I should warranty this. Maybe someone who test drove it before I did glazed the clutch too.

    The way i see it...

    Stereo upgrade is inevitable anyway

N2 designs makes a remote starter

    No auto unlock... but meh

Crawl control is first gear and your right foot lol

    Enjoy it!

This is my fourth Toyota pick up truck of the Tacoma size trucks. First one in 1988 this one for 2019 leftover bought the last week of December. This one is also the first automatic transmission of the bunch. Just turned 1000 miles on it love the truck but still questioning if the automatic transmission was a mistake. However I wanted a crew cab and the 6 foot bed - and a TRD. Ended up with the TRD Sport that was optioned pretty much the way I wanted it.

I don’t know if manual transmissions are available in a 6 foot bed crew cabs on the TRD’s or just hard to come bye.

I love when people bring up crawl control as making the OR worth the extra cost over a Sport. Or you could just get MT and not bitch about how the transmission hunts for gears constantly.

Pretty sure the TRD Sport offers this option.

Mine used to the odd time under certain meteorological conditions (humidity, dew point) then sort itself out after the first engagement...however, once I did the accumulator delete mod it hasn't happened since. 9 months now with the ADM

My 2020 AC 6MT was the only one in the state when I bought it, but he said crew cab so I don't know.

    No. No DCLB MTs. None.

US: ACLB or DCSB MT Sport or DCSB MT OR or Pro. That's it.
Canada: DCSB MT Sport or ACLB MT OR. No idea about the Pro.
Mexico: No idea. I have seen an imported 2017 DCSB AT Sport though.

Someone on Reddit also said that the US doesn't get the DCSB MT Sport and I don't understand why, because I have one.

Thanks! I would probably have gone that route if available here.

    So strange. Still, no regrets.

Just over 2000 miles on my 2020 TRD OR and no chattering yet. My WRX did a while after I installed a "stage 2" excedy clutch and lightweight flywheel but then stopped after a few thousand miles. Hasn't done it in years now.

Mine does it when it is cold and starting out on the odd occasion. After that it is fine. I had a 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS before my Tacoma. 6 speed manual with a lightened flywheel factory. That clutch failed by 120,000 kms. I drove it around for months with chatter and slippage at higher rpm's. Toyota used the same diaphragm on the regular Corolla as the high winding XRS ( 8100 rpm redline ). I hope that Toyota didn't do something similar with the Tacoma clutch and cheap out. Haven't read of too many failures.

Still early in the game for me with only 1033 miles on the truck. But I have always been a manual transmission truck guy. My three previous ones were all 4 x 4 standard transmission and I wouldn't have traded any of them for anything else. I almost bought a 2018 access cab TRD sport because it was a standard transmission truck.

At the end of the day this 2019 left over had to 6 foot bed, a double cab and was a TRD. Those were key features to me (although I was originally looking off road). Then it had almost every option I was looking for after that. The dealer knocked almost 8 grand off the list price then gave me $1500 for my trade in, which I took in a heartbeat since the frame was starting to rot and I had a couple other issues that I could’ve addressed but it still would have the 213,000 miles on it. So long story short, I felt the deal was too good to turn away so bit the bullet and came home with the 2019 TRD Sport left over :) .
