I heard entune is much better in other countries.

it’s pretty terrible as it is here. I installed it on my phone when I first got my truck. Ended Changing phones and never bothered to re-install it. Not worth the time really.

After my rangers stock unit with tiny green screen, this entune headinit is very futuristic to me.

Its all in comparison i guess.

If it's any consolation, Honda's version of Entune in a 2016 is a total disaster as well. Bluetooth audio connects 20% of the time when I get in the car, connections fall off all the time, the system forces you to browse Pandora on the car screen using whatever slow ass calculator processor they used to power it. I just use the audio input to avoid the hassle.

I just laugh when people think there will be self-driving cars in 10 years. Current tech cant even connect and play music from phone reliably. That being said, my $300 Alpine Carplay deck is solid, but you have to use Apple branded cables (of course you do).

Hell that technology is closer than entune. Self driving works fine until it doesn't...or until Karen runs a hard red light

Lol I must be one of the few who hasn't had an issue with it and the Qi actually charges my phone rather quickly whether streaming music or not. Hell I even use the NAV system occasionally. :goingcrazy:

On mine you can go to settings (or whatever that bottom button is on the left) and it'll give you an option to turn the screen off. Then you don't have to look at it.

The radio keeps working and you can control it with the steering wheel buttons.

Coming from vehicles that didn't have a screen, I kind of like that option. It makes the cab darker at night.

It’s infuriating how the channel up and down buttons on the steering wheel only scroll through your favorites.

I basically had to go in and set every single channel as a favorite in descending order so the up and down buttons work like they’re supposed to.

my 2015 had something like these, Yelp, Pandora, stocks, and shit like that. 2018 does not. One of the many reasons I regret the trade.

I have been noted as hating the Entune system, however no one has yet been able to tell me what app other then Amazon is even supported? My Entune shows exactly one app that it supports and that is Amazon Alexa... the only thing I can think is that the 2020's did away with all Entune support for it other then that app or the system is really just junk.

89.9% of all "facts" on the internet are opinions and 98% of all stats are just made up on the spot.......

Just like those two are ;)

I have the JBL system with Carplay... I have no idea what the interface is like but with Carplay all head units are the same... just a screen with carplay. So in that sense I have no issue with the head unit itself, just Toyota's entune system (which I guess should not bug me as I use Carplay).

Count yourself lucky that you have Entune and listen to it cruizing down the Highway. In Russia you only get this on your Radio 24/7

only with short interruptions to inform you that there is no Petro/Gas where ever you going as you can see in the pic below..:eek:

Hate to be "that guy" but where's the solid data to support the percentages you've state? My guess is it's anecdotal. Not saying it's off by a ton, that's not my point. I just hate when people spew out statistics with no foundation. There's better ways of saying that without finite percentages like 89.9%. Of course you can prove me wrong by linking a credible source that tracks such things, although I have not idea who that would be save maybe the CIA.

People who use (and are satisfied with) Entune don't care about apps and carplay/android auto. We want to listen to our XM radio, and do a quick route to a destination. That's it.

You like carplay -- that's cool -- but personally, fewer infotainment distractions = better.
