i had a long discussion at ToyoTechs yesterday regarding the suspension on my old as dirt Tacoma and dealing with the crap local roads and highways here.
he said that my front suspension is 'probably just fine' and that spending well north of $1000 to get new OEM parts (shock absorbers,LBJs, etc.) would probably not make much of a difference in driving on these roads...

here are a few I frequently travel on:
i80 from i480 all the way past 84th in both directions across all lanes ... that is about 5 miles!!!
US75 from Offutt area all the way through south O to 480, both directions ... but it is definitely much worse going north
L street ... from 84th all the way to i680 and to 120th
90th street... pretty much from west Center all the way to Fort
I also travel down w Broadway in the Bluffs occasionally but it seems they are 'trying to fix' that mess up somewhat

what am i supposed to do
these roads 'should be' as smooth and safe as the recent drive to Fremont on 275 was

Put on some after market 2.5s. It’ll be dreamy.

would i have to 'lift' my suspension to do that, i really don't know much about this area

he looked at aftermarket shock absorbers when I asked him if there was anything better out there for ride quality but he could not find anything better than OEM absorbers for my truck and to keep it at stock height

Nope. You can stay at stock height.

Get yourself some King’s and long travel and you won’t even know there’s bumps in the road. Don’t forget the 35s to roll over everything.
