When I was younger, I worked part time for a place that did food concessions at fairs, and other outdoor events. Every one of our stalls were just panels with hinges attached to each one in multiple places. Three guys could assemble the entire thing in minutes by dropping pins into them once they were aligned. Your idea of a bolt would make it more secure. You could practically build the entire thing that way.

That was protection from anyone that built it using that and it came out too small.

I'd be worried about the stability of those bars being mounted with one bolt to the diamond back. Since the bars aren't tied together they need feet at least 6" long, and bolted to something secure. I suspect the bed would be better that the cover.

The DB cleats have two bolts each, probably around 2-3" apart at most. If we extended the base of them to be much wider and include more bolts through the cover and to the bed rail, think that would work? If you take a look at my drawing from earlier, can we utilize that idea?

I think I saw that Front Runner uses tracks like on a cap with some cross bars. Would that work in this case?

*I dont know what you guys are talking about*

    ???
Yup, trying to make a bed rack like the UpTop style, but to sit on the DB cover. I know there is stuff like the KB Voodoo stuff, but I don't like how it sticks out so far. I want it to be able to sit on the DB and look just as stylish.
