Hey guys, Gots me an issue

Parents gave me a taco truck 4cyl 2.7L - 93k miles (at 97K) now - she didn't want to start one day after it was cold and prolly sat for a good week. so I thought battery... changed the battery and still no click cranks or nothing... so I thought maybe starter... instead of spending 150bucks. I have a manual. so I had a buddy help me pop the clutch... it starts! woot. as I went to go in gear. I let off and gave gas and it died... Thought maybe I was nervous.. Popped the clutch again and started rolling good but then I def realized I had not acceleration pushing the gas... I'm stuck.. some say try the fuel filter so I thought since its dark. Lets post online and see what help I can get. any ideas?

no codes eithers... I killed the engine cause it sounded pretty low on power so now it still doesn't start without me rolling and popping the clutch.. any ideas?

With no electricity, a modern engine is not going to start or stay running. The computer has a minimum voltage it needs and below that, it will protect itself and do nothing.

clean the MAF sensor in the intake. Easy and no cost so it couldn't hurt.

Sounds like you have more than one issue. No crank. Push started, no acceleration.

Take a good look at your battery terminals and posts, make sure they’re clean. Then take a look at the battery ground, make sure you’re getting a good connection. If you have a multimeter, test, with battery disconnected, from ground terminal to frame, engine block, head, starter bolt... .7 ohms or lower is what you want to see. On mine, the positive terminal is a big ole L shaped thing, with a big cable bolted on top. That cable should also have a good connection. Look at the big positive cable attached to the starter, make sure it’s tight, BATTERY DISCONNECTED. Don’t stick a tool on it with the battery connected. Starters also have a small wire, make sure it’s connected good, not loose. I’ve seen a few where I just pulled the male spade connector off, gently squeezed it with needle nose pliers, put it back on, now it’s on snug, started good. If you squeezed too hard and mashed it closed, just use a pick or mini flat screwdriver to pry it open slightly.

Alright update! so overall it was initially the battery - I failed to notify that when I hooked up new battery - I did it backwards and it sent signals for 2 seconds. Turns out I blew my Alt 120A fuse. another 30A fuse. but my STA 7.5A is blown.. but when I replace it still nothing (this explains why I have no gas) I have a tester light and tried to test it and get no power thru the circuit board? did I fry that end? or is there another fuse that sends signal? I am using this diagram and (24) STA fuse is what is not working...

Uh oh. Bad things happen when you jump start backwards or connect battery backwards. You might have fried the ecu.

Doubtful, Truck still runs well and turns out. I was in there with the heater, looking at things on my phone. just no gas.. I have a buddy at home that has my truck. He will pull the fuse and see if that stops his gas (like mine)
