Its true and it is why it is such an incredible color. I cant stop grinning.

 

For those with the black tacoma emblems, are they overlays on top of the chrome or are they just naturally black? I haven't seen any in person yet so I had to ask. They do look good black on our trucks IMO.

 

The only overlay ones I’m aware of are the oem Toyota ones. All others are either plastidip or new emblems. I used new replacement emblems on mine.

The black raised letters make the tailgate so much nicer ! Good choice

If it weren’t for my taco coming with them. I would’ve probably just took off all the emblems. Only one I really like has been the big tailgate Tacoma one. I removed my V6 emblem and for some reason mine didn’t come with the 4x4 one. But hey doesn’t hurt to try them on, I mean other than the wallet

 

All the Pro's I have seen have the LED headlights.... do they come without them?

 

I ordered these for mine Jan 4, 2020 . They are coming from China and I hope they fit. Shipping is going to take 4-6 weeks.
I also added the 4x4 in chrome and TACOMA raised laser cut letters for the tailgate. Really like them, no issue with quality or installation. Recommended.

I ordered the overlays on jan 4th from Runnin for tacos and they arrived today.Now probably gotta wait till spring for some warm weather to get them stuck on.

 

I love the black overlays, got mine from factory but would have purchased separately also.. also added the Meso blacked out turn signal in the mirror:

The pictures look correct, if you compare these to the factory overlays, reference number PT948-35180-02. But bear in mind the referenced part number would include 2x limited and 2x SR5 overlays as well. There is a possibility that the items are different than pictured. If you look closely at the overlay you will notice the fatter and filled in areas compared to original attached decals. Also the rear red removable plastic on the adhesive is correct as pictured. The factory full set are more expensive and I see lots of extra overlays for sale that were not needed. I have also seen some replacement decals that are smaller than factory originals which would be disappointing to receive. I will post back with fitment once received. Most items are made in china regardless of where they are sold. Like always...pay your money and take your chances. Amazon does have a better return system for items received as not as described if you have a choice.
