Interesting. I'd read some complaints about fitment at some point and was leaning to a Scoshe. Getting closer to snagging a new HU.

I have the same head unit recently installed! How do you like it so far? I’ve been having issues during really cold mornings with the backup camera giving me a blank screen.

Ive only has it a few days, like it so far. Beats the stock mp3 CD player with no Bluetooth. How cold? It rarely drops into the 30s/40s here in south Texas, I might be okay.

Scosche install kits are always a little higher quality than Metra. I've never in 3 decades had a problem with either brands fitment. All versions made for the Tacoma are made of plastic.

@WestCoastBestCoast which backup camera do you have?

I just installed a new head unit with a Metra kit last week. Follow the instructions on the kit and you'll be thoroughly disappointed. However, if you throw away the plastic units that bolt to the head unit and use your factory metal brackets, it's a nice kit.

IF you can figure out the instructions lol. Some of the Metra kits instructions, omg, pulling hair by the handful lol. I don't recall Tacoma kit instructions per say, but I've installed plenty of them.

Finally got my truck aligned after suspension install yesterday. Was messing around with the suspension and noticed a clunk under max down travel. I assume this is normal as i believe the shock is bottoming out internally, however would like to confirm. Thoughts? See description in video for more details.

I does wonders for melting dirt stains off of the rubber even without agitating with a brush.

Mine doesn't do that. I don't think your truck is getting max down travel in that video.

Part #2407 Firestone Ride Rite Springs - $390
    Labor for install - $160

Another option is Air Lift. They cost less and I've heard they are fine. The reason I went with the Ride Rite was that they mount above the axle, and that made the most sense to me. You can go with two air lines or a "T" configuration. I'd recommend two air lines to give you more control.
