Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2018-2019 Model Year Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350; certain 2019 Model Year Lexus NX 300, RX 350L, and GS 300; certain 2018-2019 Model Year Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra; and certain 2019 Model Year Toyota Avalon and Corolla in the United States. Approximately 696,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

The subject vehicles are equipped with a fuel pump which may stop operating. If this were to occur, warning lights and messages may be displayed on the instrument panel, and the engine may run rough. This can result in a vehicle stall, and the vehicle may be unable to be restarted. If a vehicle stall occurs while driving at higher speeds, this could increase the risk of a crash.

Toward the bottom it says "Toyota customer" followed by "Lexus guest." Lexus people are guests. Toyota people, not so much.

Ahh damn. Bought a 2019 in hopes of avoiding the guinea pig years, but I’m left with safety sense and a failing fuel pump. We might not be going places...

They dialled back the pressure for less HP and slower acceleration.

Pretty sure it’s the low pressure fuel pump in the gas tank, had both pumps replaced. There’s a thread that discussed this problem and a comment on an impending recall 5 months ago.

Yet again, another reason to stop making the vehicles so complex to get another .3345 miles per gallon.

Not the almighty 4-Runner... Holly shit, I thought that thing walked (sorry drove) on water, was better than the 22re, it was so good it made medicine sick. It could murder a rock and the 4.0 is so quick it was faster than Ali..

Sorry, not done with my AM coffee yet :pccoffee::violent:

I’d imagine the Toyota Owners App will show if and when the recall hits the owners vehicle.
