GPS question

The last 2-3 days my gps isn’t working as usual. For some reason it’s only showing state highways and no side roads. Anyone ever experience this before? Looked through settings very briefly this morning and didn’t notice any options for this change or a general reset button within settings.

Anyway figured I’d ask before I call dealer this afternoon. Thanks

 

When mine was acting up I tried everything and finally pulled the map card out and put it back in and that reset everything. Went back to normal.

 

Are you accidentally zoomed out too far?

 

As above poster mentions, smaller roads will disappear as you zoom out. With no prompt mine just started giving direction home, waiting to see if it does it again before I do anything else

 

This was my initial thought.

 

I thought that was a possibility so I zoomed all the way in then back out then back to normal. Still nothing. Weird thing is it shows all the bodies of water all around my truck as I drive just nothing but main roads.

I’ll pull the card today and reinsert then see if that helps. Thank you

Yes, for integrated GPS, and no, for connective GPS. At least for the pre 2020, I haven't looked closely at the 2020 unit's.

 

The map card is in a small slot on the front of the head unit. Lower right area.

 

Ok so I started my truck at lunch and still wasn’t showing the roads other than main roads. So first I zoomed all the way in and nothing still. Zoomed out and nothing. Was going to shut off truck and pull card and try that but got a phone call and answered while truck was running. After ending call it showed maps as normal so didn’t go any further. I did play with the zoom again after that and yes at a certain zoom it removes roads other than state highways and even more zooming out shows only interstate highways. Anyway, must have been some odd glitch who knows but if it happens again I’ll remove the card and try that. Thanks folks!
