Original clips were good, but my CV boot was rubbing due to lift so slid the boot down the shaft a bit to give it more clearance. So far so good. The original clips are def a pain to use and re-use if you dont have the proper tool for them.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Haha. Yeah I got them. I figured I could use them at some point. Great price. Usually $44 each plus shipping.

Yeah I did a little better than that shipped. I don’t mind the silver actually. I’ll stagger them or something. Thanks for looking out though.

Well the guy just got a quote and shipping alone is going to be $100. We assumed it would be a lot less. So he is just going to return my payment. Seems like a cool guy. Maybe he can get someone to pick up locally to him. So maybe I’ll look into the cross bars you were mentioning.

    Same crap everyone else got
For that price I would borrow a friends truck or rent the home depot pick ups for an hour.

Damn I was about to msg him. Literally would've sold the wheels for $200 and kept the tires as back ups/next tire

    Morning y’all.

Check out this video and description on my suspension and give me your thoughts. Is this normal?

Testing out the damping settings on my new suspension setup. Noticed a clunking noise up front at max down travel. My hypothesis is that this noise is the shock bottoming out internally (which I believe it is made to do, but could be wrong). Is this clunk alarming/a problem? All runs done at 20-25mph.

Doesn’t seem to look like the shock is compressing far enough to be bottoming out.
Have you performed a giggle test? In which you grab ahold of all the parts you removed and give them a tug?
Are your top hat nuts tightened up all the way.

Not sure if anyone has yet but if you are looking to sound deaden your floor and back wall it is very time consuming.

Can confirm. I only did the back wall, roof, and front doors and it was a full day operation.

By bottoming out, I mean bottoming out internally on full extension, not compression. Everything is nice and tight.

Put your truck on jacks and compress the front end on one side then let it drop to see if you can hear the same noise. I had a rear shock that would top out on travel extension even though the spring had more in it (shock was too short basically) and it made a noise but it was a different sounding noise.

Told ya! Did you do your roof? That's one of the "worse" areas when it comes to sound

Also did you get extended travel shocks or just the regular one?

I haven’t done, and sadly never will because I know it will be a time consuming PITA. But damn if I wouldn’t love to have it done. I can’t even hear my daughter talking to me in her car seat behind me if it’s raining.
