Still happy. The much more expensive car beside my truck has had MANY more warranty fixes. Sad thing is that Chevrolet just replaces broken parts versus fixing the issue that causes them to break. A tuner is a MUST have to keep a C7 Corvette from using the 4 cylinder mode or shit breaks from vibration.......... V4 doesn’t get better fuel mileage anyway. It’s a gimmick

Worst truck Toyota ever made was the Japanese produced 4Runners with the 3.0L. They leaked oil right from the factory. Not sure why people hold Tahara production in such high regard. That’s the lemon factory in my books.

The Tacoma already has a recall for the High Pressure Fuel pump...so it's either that one again or the low pump.

Must be the low pump because the HPFP is mechanically driven... not sure how it could stop unless the cam breaks or the internals.

I think when they decided to use slightly better frame paint they had to cut costs elsewhere. So your get a rusty frame recall up to 2017, then it’s fuel pump from then on. Toyota likes to treat everyone fairly.

I'm at the dealer now for a 15,000 mile service and they told me there was a recall for a software update. I asked what for, and it said "possible stalling at high speed".

Mine is a manual, and I got the TSB flash done a while back it helped the truck drive better.

After this, I imagine it will be back to running like a one legged man through cow shit.

If I am reading this right you previously had the TSB flash done and they are saying there is now a NEW UPDATE right now, newer than that tsb flash?

Recall affects certain 2018, 2019 Toyota and Lexus models

    [IMG]Bloomberg News
Toyota will notify owners in mid-March.
DETROIT — Toyota is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles in the U.S. because the fuel pumps can fail and cause engines to stall. That can increase the risk of a crash.

The recall covers certain 2018 and 2019 Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, and RX 350 models. Also included are certain 2018 and 2019 Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, and Tundra models. Some 2019 models also are affected including the Avalon and Corolla.

Toyota 7203, +1.02% is still developing repairs. Owners will be notified by mail in mid-March.

I can't remember the number of the TSB flash I had done, it was the one that "only applied to the autos" and I had to explain to them to get it done.

This one, was "it's a recall" and I asked what for and they said a "software update for high speed stalling". May not be anything to do with the pump, but I'll see what my paperwork says.

My situation may be totally unrelated to the fuel pump thing, I shouldn't have posted till I was sure. But I'm bored in the waiting room with some old cat yapping his trap about football.
