I used this spray paint. I think I did like 3 coats of paint. It came out really nice.

Did you just use krylon plastic paint for this?

Disregard I just saw a post later... I need to scroll further before I post.

I have such a hard time deciding to like these types of posts or not. I mean I like reading other people's stories but I don't like when other people's stuff fails so... online life is just so damn hard. Lmao

Ah ha! Yes, I heard something about the Metra lacking the metal brackets that the Scosche has, but if you an easily repurpose the OEM ones, that seems sensible.

So, is it a matter of screw off brackets from ORM and screw them on to existing holes on Metra, or is this a PITA to do?

Edit: just re read that post, sounds like simple R&R. Thanks for the tip!

Low 30s. I think it might be vibration too honestly. It’s very intermittent, but I only see it when it’s cold. I may have to go back and double check my connections.

I have an e-Rapta one. Kind of on the cheaper side on Amazon, so that could explain my issues too. This one:

 it's all good. I enjoy tinkering so it'll be fun to diagnose and fix.

Me too, and I have a hard time liking the crash posts I hate to even see those...

    Good luck with the scan.
Get a cheap bluetooth ob2 off Amazon/ebay and check codes and other functions etc yourself at home with your phone.

Saves me from driving over to my brothers and borrowing his scan tool

I'll have to try it out thanks! Should I be careful getting it on the wheels?

Scosche single din for the win here.
Went with the black textured this time.
Looks good with the body color vent surrounds.
Good solid kit and I use the xtra pocket for my passive eq.

I accidentally ordered an american international and tried it anyways while my scosche was on its way...broke on install.

American International is the worst I've ever had to work with.

    Per the item instrucitions:

"NOTE: Do not allow product to contact magnesium or aluminum wheels, painted or glass surfaces, eyewear, fabric and non-rubber items. Permanent damage can occur."

That being said I bet it would only damage the wheels if you allow it to dry. When I use it I give the wheels a thorough rinse after cleaning the tires to take care of any overspray.

I’d go with Scoshe, not happy with my metra. Fitment is subpar and it rattles a good bit on bumpy roads.

Just goes to show what they can do when they are not getting paid! Once you add money to it it takes 3 hours to change your brake pads!
