Anyone on here get their Real Id yet? I am headed to the DMV today with my documents to get pre-verified? My DL expires @ the end of the month so I figured just do both at same time. Will see what a cluster this is.

Good luck! I'm doing that on Friday. I called yesterday to see if I need the camera card as well, since my license is about to expire. They said no, since the Real ID comes with an automatic renewal.

I got mine when I transferred mine back from WY. Pretty simple transfer since my WY DL was already a Real ID..

We have a local insurance agency that works with DMV. You can get a camera card any day through them. Maybe there is a business in the area that does that same. Our DMV is open like 1 day a week as well and it is frustrating AF.

I wish there was a way to cue every cap/shell ad for sale in the next 30 days. FWIW, that pic was fucking hilarious and worth it.

There's two very good reason links to outside fundraisers aren't allowed: they don't pay a % back to TW and it prevents all kinds of scamy and slimy behavior. This is a business at the end of the day, and we the users, need to respect that. The flip side is that the users are also the product. Accounts are free because the combination of advertising, Amazon backlinks, and data analytics sale make the whole thing worth doing.

That leads us to "community" although the correct term is "brand image", and it's accounting cousin "good will". TW has a hell of one, and recent events out west (sloppy taco coming immediately to mind) demonstrate that. Unfortunately this fundraiser isn't the first time we've seen a very clear demonstration that the northeast contingent isn't really part of that community, and certainly aren't treated consistently.

This incident, once again, leaves me asking two questions:
-For mods who supposedly donate so much time and energy to the site, how do they not know the major players of the NE regional threads?
-Why is the policy to delete threads and posts first, then ask questions later? Especially when it's pretty clear that the original activity was acceptable?

    And as a bonus question:
-When it's apparent that the initial reaction was wrong why aren't there some adult apologies coming from mods who screwed up?

Because if you're trying to create a community, and a civil one at that, perhaps a little lighter touch on the ban-hammer will help.

As a side note, GoFundMe.com isn't being blocked automatically, like some other URLs, so this whole thing required either a reported post or something flagged on traffic analytics. That confirms someone had to investigate and act. So I'll.ask again:
When mods screw up why don't we see an apology?

I’m not sure what the point of this is. Not sure why you’re expecting an apology from any one of us.

I don’t know if you’ve read the Code of Conduct but it’s spelled out in there and action is at our direction.

“ Any violation of the guidelines set out above will be dealt with by the moderators at their own discretion “
