Cool, guess I will order a set from down south and get these done.
They said there probably will be an inch lift with them tho And that’s ok after the adjustment, does that sound right?
    Thanks

Idk, I dont have kings. But installing them should be no different then my 5100's. An inch of lift is to be expected, could even be more depending on how much your old setup has sagged. 1" wont hurt anything though, it may settle down to .5" or so after you drive on it for a bit. :notsure:

What are your plans for the rear?

Not sure on the rears yet, I have the bilstien stock yellow.

My rear springs are stock with helper springs, so the helper springs might interfere if I got kings back there with the trailer I pull

No reason at all whatsoever why your truck wouldn't be able to handle any lift.

If they do adjust them for you, have them do like a thread or two more preload on one, this will help take up any taco lean.

You can adjust them on the truck as well to get it perfectly level, just a little tough sometimes depending on how the holes in the collar line up

5 threads showing on mine with 650# coils for my double cab has me maybe .5” to an 1” of lift. My cv’s are perfectly straight though so I probably won’t go much higher until I upgrade the rear

Thick piece of cardboard inside the wheel well, and the stock bottle jack on top of your UCA; pump it a few times and it'll push the entire assembly down.

Did so on my own truck as well as a few others here when I helped them install their suspension.

Axle seals for sure. At least. Looks like it's been a while, so you'll want to do bearings and new brake shoes too.

It's not a hard job, but does benefit from some special tools. Wrote the whole thing up, along with a step-by-step guide if you're interested in what it'll take. As I recall, tools were in the ~$500 range if you don't have any of/access to them to start, and then parts were in the $300 range.

Replacing My Rear Axle Seals & Bearings
I can't speak highly enough of the tool from eBay. I know some people build their own, but the ease of use (and I've done the job twice now on different trucks) was totally worth the price to me.

No need to pull the third for the job. You do have to drain the rear diff, of course.

I’ve been thinking of how to remove the axles on a Domestic. Those have a circlip you have to pull inside the diff to free the axle shafts.

Despite pulling three axle shafts myself on junkyard 4Runners, the third members have never been installed nor the shaft bolts installed. I just had to pull them out.

They're price gouging as usual. If your truck isn't rusty it's like 30mins a side

I did it for zero dollars in special tools, or more correctly $10 in steel welded together. Then you can use an old ABS tone ring to seat the new seal.

Not saying the exact tools aren't better, but if you have access to a welder, I would rather not pay the premium for that special tool that will rarely get used.

Did that tool seem to work any better than the one Timmy uses in his how to video? They obviously do the same thing, I know the tool he used was a little too thick to mount to the stock backing plate bolts and had to knock out the stock bolts and use longer ones in its place.

Do you happen to know the spacing of the bolts that hold the axle onto the housing? Planning on making my own removal tool and getting that part cut with a waterjet. Just need to CAD it up first
