I’m aware of the Gandy Dancer but the small amount of information I found about it suggests it’s a flat and straight old railroad route. If so, that would not excite me.

Similar to that, I did drive up to sand dunes state forest and drove on some unplowed forest roads. They were flat but the snow made them fun and they are only about an hour drive away from me. I probably wouldn’t bother with them in the summer.

Well I’m around and agree about them being a little flat! If you want to ride on them in the snow let me know. I would love to hit some trails asap!

On the map I linked there is a trail named the “Park Truck Trail” that connects with the Gandy Dancer. The description also mentions that there are some other trails in the area. I’m just not sure if they are worth the drive or not. Definitely something to explore if I was on a road trip to Duluth, but maybe not worth a trip up and back.

No but it is advertised as a Jeep park and based on the pictures and spec requirements I have zero interest

no interest in off road parks. They are just designed to break things.

What color is your truck? I have a Calvary Blue 2019 OR, live in Rockford, work in Delano. Now that I own a Taco I seem to see more and more... lol...

It looks like fun to me. :)

I went to Frontenac Farms a couple years ago with my stock SR5 and had tons of fun. Part of the fun is watching the crazy built-to-purpose machines do there thing and also watching recoveries. I didn’t do any of the hard trails but the ones I did were pushing the limits of my truck. I managed to finish with a scratch on my hood from a tree branch and a tiny dent on the bottom of my rocker panel. I now have rock sliders.

I just have no interest in going to the off-road park things and watching people do that kind of stuff. I’d much rather run trails where I barely see a soul and can enjoy nature without hearing a bunch of other people.
