This is unrelated to flash kits.

So found the sticker under the hood and it says 40b04 so I think I’m good. Impressions after 70 miles is its a lot smoother and refined in its shifting. I was on 1.01 then 1.02 then 1.03 91 oct since it first came out somewhere around 2years ago and the tip in was a little too much but the new factory file is perfect for my truck 16 TRD OR DBLCB all stock except for aluminum front bumper, steel sliders and 265/75/16 wildpeaks. Worried about it relearning bad habits on this stock calibration so now looking to update to a 2.0 file but I haven’t had the laptop out in those 2 years and I’m a dongle guy and not PC literate so I’m probably one of those guys you would say shouldn’t tune but the truck was in my opinion not safe to drive on the 16 stock calibration and was thankfull to OVT for getting it to drive that good. Engine performance is down a little but all else feels good but would like to get up to the current OVT 2.0.
I’m sure everything on my PC needs updating to be able to flash the new tune so just wondering if the instructions are clear to update from from old to new..?
Pretty sure I’ll need forum help to get it together.

The new Flash Manager 1.3 is very easy to load. You’ll find it on page 1 of this site. Just make sure you totally delete the old FM before loading. The 2.0 Beta files are on OVtune.com website a few columns down where it says 2.0 Public. Just download the tune for your truck,go to FM and flash it.
I’m technologically challenged too but the process is really simple. If I left something out,I’m sure someone will chime in.

Just saw a recall from Toyota on a fuel pump issue. 18-19 Tacoma’s as well as a bunch of others. Wonder if this is why some of ours run bad and stutter etc.. recall 20TB02

Fair point, but if you've ever dealt with Europeans (especially Italians) with timelines and deadlines you'd understand

Should have several reg keys out today.
I do not have a timeline for 2.0, but there is a big flash manager update coming with stuff.

If you'd like to know what else we are working on, head to the turbo/sc thread of ours.
We are working on a new replacement fuel pump controller.

Should both initial registration and all the ID info after the kit is received be sent to same ticket?

Flashed my first tune finally (19800 build/87 Oct/Stock exhaust/AT) - first impressions - MUCH smoother/even up-shifting, but hard downshifting is crazy (like my truck doesn't know what gear to go into if I punch it). Anyone else experience this? I noticed it in 'normal' mode, haven't driven much in ECT PWR mode since I flashed it.

Needs a few tanks of gas to settle. Give it time

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I'll have to remember that when I finally tune the truck. Waiting for 2.0 so I hopefully only have to do it once. A few tanks of gas will take me 2 months tho. :annoyed:

Anyone else think this comment earlier today is odd?

Is 2.0 final now sometime in 2020? o_O
