Not sure if I posted it here or not, but my buddy shot the sling mount off his own shotgun shooting at a doe this year. A clean miss is better than a bad hit any day

I took some deer meat to the local butcher shop today to get some sausage made. Seen a basket full of cut up deer antlers at the counter with prices of $3-8 dollars on them. I asked the owner, who I know, if he needed some more and he said yes. He sells them for dog chews. I took 2 boxes of my smallest antlers to him and he gave me $350. I still have 3 boxes of bigger ones I need to find a buyer for.

We had one like that last year. Well, one side was a spike and the other had points.

Speaking of half racks, we were almost out of meat last year and this one broke his rack I guess but look at all that meat!!!!

This is the only picture I got of this deer. He came in opening morning of muzzle loader @120 yards. I pinched, I missed, he left, I never saw him again.

Half racks. What about bad genes. Saw one this year I thought was a long spike, probably had this going on. 2A6C956E-7EAF-4038-AB1E-ED39D21B671A.jpg

Hey what’s up everyone??? Haven’t posted on here much lately as our season ended 1/4/20.

I did pick a pair of binoculars. I took the advice you guys gave and grabbed the Vortex Diamondback HD 10X42. Love them so far and they come with the Glasspak harness so it’s a great value. So far they are amazing though!

Thanks man! Just for shits and giggles I asked to see the $999.00 10X42 pair of Vortex right beside the Diamondback HD and I seriously couldn’t tell the difference. These are gonna last forever and if not I got that great warranty!

Vortex makes great glass for the money. Indoors you might not see a difference but outside glassing you can see a difference. I sold my razor hds when I got my Swarovski.

Glass is one piece of gear I wish I would have just saved for and bought right the first time. I started with cheapies, then 100-300 dollar pair, then the 400-800, etc

If I would have sucked it up and bought the swaros from the start I prolly would have saved money, all that being said.

If y’all are just hunting the east coast by all means rock the vortex. No reason to have 3k binos for bow hunting thick eastern woods, but if you can afford them then get em. Single handily the best piece of gear I own are my binos.

Now that I’m done hunting I’ve been working some O/T myself.
