I will say it's nice that he won't be around to constantly remind me that he has an extra transmission and transfer case; I called him out and told him I don't want to buy flooded parts (via PM) and he assured me that everything worked fine and he can ship for cheap.

Not like I was going to entertain the idea but I looked through his post history, and found threads he posted stating his transfer case was grinding, and all sorts of other shit.

Yeah I've never asked but usually assume thats the case lol. I've met some really cool younger guys though in the local wheeling threads that have bought theirs having good careers out of school.

It's usually pretty easy to tell which is which based on a person's behavior and general attitude

My guess is they are in their mid 20s, college educated, fresh out of school where it's an echo chamber of ideals and they are climate warriors one post off their iPhone at a time. Perpetual victims for anything that doesn't go right and expect something for when it does. Also they never had to use any critical thinking skills ever, hence the dumb ass posts in that forum that usually end with I'm sueing toyota. I do know there was alot of okay boomers being tossed around lol.

Disclaimer: I'm 36 and while not an environmentalist, I do think we should not be burning tires to dispose of them and not dumping chemicals in rivers and shit like that.

my Dad burned tires found on the freeway 'gators' to chase mosquitoes away while camping in a flood plain during the summers in Iowa

This explains a lot. Like why Daddy didn't buy you a new Truck for Prom. You'll never stack up to the 3rd gen character. It's a good thing Jay. Burning tires as Mosquito repellent? Not a good thing, then or now.

    I have mods
Lots of them are in IT and then others became doctors somehow. Not saying it's all that age group, there are always exceptions but I would bet the majority are.

    He was doing that?

Shit, if someone did that in my sale thread, I would've been banned myself for telling someone to fuck off.

Honestly I have no idea why 'erase my content' requests are entertained. You don't want to post or be here, fine. Why take away content though which may help others in the future? Oh well.

I have noticed that anything they posted that got quoted remains visible, just not their actual posts

Yeah no I mean on the site side. I've been involved in administering large forums and content would not be removed unless it violated the TOS. You posted it, it belongs to the site.

Hmm, maybe the tire is slightly too large.

bottom line is, the majority who own the third gens seem to be clueless. Feel like they buy them versus the first and second gens bc they glammed out that model, and have all the buttons and switches u "need".
