It was said a while ago, if you search OVT's posts in the Dev thread, that the TSB tunes are the best basis for the OV tunes. Yes. You would need to flash the OV tune after applying the TSB. I would also recommend the DTC and LV Resets.

Thanks! I think that is the small batch route that I want to go.

I can't even imagine how that's possible. LOL!

I even use a stainless steel filter for mine. So it's a little more work to clean because I'm not disposing of a paper filter.

He has the SS filter also. IDK. I watch him go and think that I could do it a bit less messy, but also know that it is going to go pear shaped at some point.

I use the disposable Melitta brown filters at work or for camping. No cleanup necessary except a simple rinse if preferred. Just add coffee to filter, initial pour at about 200deg, wait 30-60 sec for the bloom then finish pour till cup is full. I do sometimes use a gold mesh cone filter at home.

French press is good but requires cleanup. Keurig is convenient but less options and can be so so, wife does use one. Also use a MyJoe for the wife when traveling. The pour over method has many advantages and I consider it the best for a perfect cup of Joe!

That simplicity is what I am looking for.

We have an old Keurig at home. It's only reason to exist if convenience and never a good cup of coffee or even hot chocolate. I wonder if electric kettles were more popular here, that Keurig would even exist? It is like the middle ground between heating a kettle on the stove or using the microwave.

    Very right!

We got it as an experiment and for the girls to make hot chocolate and tea by themselves. That last part worked well. I have only had a good cup of coffee from one automatic machine. It was at a company that I was assisting that makes business jet interiors. It was stupid expensive and made killer Americanos and espresso, but everything else sucked even though it used real milk. It also broke all the time.

It was definitely surprising and would have worked perfectly in my younger days. Now, everything is about flavor. I kind of blame the craft beer explosion, but everything went craft around that time.

The making is fun from the moment the bag is opened. For me, nothing smells better than coffee other than bacon. :dancingbacon::dancingbacon::dancingbacon:
