The list goes on about why this was one of the worst choices I ever made... I'll start with the basics and if anyone's interested, ask me anything:

Dunkin Donuts is what I consider to be my first real job... Meaning a job that I got on my own without any help from the school district.

Flags should have gone up when I walked into the story intending to just fill out an application and was pretty much hired on the spot, but they didn't...

The most obvious reason I quit was because I was still in college at the time and almost failed that semester...

I was also the only person on my shift who spoke English as a first language... My manager (also an Indian immigrant) temporarily moved me to the afternoon shift because in his own words, the only "white" (English-speaking) employee at that location worked the afternoon shift. I would have stayed at Dunkin if I got to keep the afternoon shift and work alongside that "white" employee, a woman named Suzy.

During the interview, my manager said he wanted my shift to start at 6am. I told him that was too early and he pushed it back to 7am. I still had to get up at 5:45am and I quickly found out that whether I like it or not, my body refuses to function before 7am unless I am getting up for a car show.

I understand that everybody wants to make money, but part-time employees were disposable to them.

When I did quit, I had to threaten the manager to get my paycheck (earnings of almost $200) mailed to me.

As of 2017, I still go to that Dunkin Donuts regularly, and the only steady employees are the same 3 or 4 middle-aged Indian immigrants. They are very nice and hook me up with free donuts all the time. As for other employees (as in people like me who just want to make a little money but still want a life), it's like there's a new one in there every week and nobody like me lasts more than a week or two.

No wonder it was so damn easy to get a job there. It was a lousy shift!

Couldn't but notice the guitar in your avatar pic...

Did you make that yourself? I ask because someone I know has a similar guitar that they made themselves!

I don't play the guitar, but I've got a lot of friends who do, and I've gotta say I love your guitar!

Did you make the body yourself too?

Looks a bit Strat-like to me...

Also, where do you work where they let you play the guitar in your office?

The first pic is Eddie Van Halen's 5150 guitar, this is my next build. See the woodgrain in the first pic and how I replicated on the one I'm building.

My best friend John knows guitars like I know cars, trucks, and air-conditioners...

I've known him over 11 years and he's taught me a lot about different guitars over the years!

Also, it sounds like we are on the same page with regards to people using TW as Craigslist; I saw your guitar when I was on that last thread about the 3rd Gen cap for sale that the mods deleted...

    @Taco critter

    I never asked...

Do you now or have you ever played any musical instruments?

How long have you been playing the guitar?

I've got one friend (Jeff) who's dad informally introduced him to the drums when he was 2 years old, and he's probably been playing for real since he was in grade school! My friend John, who I mentioned before, has been playing guitar since he was 14 or 15; He started out on drums as well, and is also quite proficient on the piano. I worked as a barback at a nightclub/music venue for more than four years, so that's how I developed such an interest in musical instruments; I've been into car audio for as long as I can remember!
