Anyone install any Corbeau Sport seats in their trucks? Looking for something a little more comfy and accommodating to a center console, and for something to drop seat height by an inch or so, I’m a tall guy.

any replies and other suggestions welcome

I've had two different versions of Corbeau's.
My advice is stay away from them. The foam in the bolsters breaks down quickly.
Look at ProCar by Scat. They make nice seats that are budget friendly. You will need to purchase their seat bracket kit and fab to fit though. Ask @sdstop.

I have the LG1 seats. They fit perfectly with the brackets from Corbeau.

The drivers side door bolster I had cut down and a carpet section rolled over the bolster under the fabric for strength two years ago by an upholstery shop.

    No issues
LG1 are a non suspension seat so they are a fit bumpy but hug you like a glove and corners are fun again

Good job on the bolsters. I will say that Corbeau does have great brackets.

Which Corbeau's did you own? I've been wanting new seats for a while and I've been torn between the Sport seats and the Trailcats.

When I purchased mt ProCar seats, they did offer plug n play brackets which is no longer the case.

I had the Baja RS's and the GTII's. They were great seats until the foam broke down on each seat... on the exit side of the seats.

I could see the GTII's having an issue, they have a pretty tall bolster. I think they would look great in my truck with the gray cloth though.

FWIW I talked with a guy at Corbeau about replacement seats for lifted trucks and he recommended the Trailcats because of the lower thigh bolster. The product description claims it has "top of the line injection molded foam". Maybe they have beefed up their foam density.

Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I got lucky and found Limited Tacoma seats. I would try and find some 3rd gen 4Runner seats and install the Tacoma base into the 4Runner seats. Housed save yourself a bit of money. If money isn’t an issue than I would look into Cerrulo seats. If I hadn’t found my seats I would of went with Cerullo.

Any of these options lower the seat height? That’s my main goal right now. I hate having my head being in the truck ceiling haha

So the reason why I got the LT1 seats they are non suspension seat a ride a little rough but they gave me a whole bunch more Headroom I'm 6feet, with these seats have about 4 and 1/2 inches of clearance between the top of my head and a vinyl headliner,
    There is a trade-off

The design of the aftermarket seat bracket will influence the height/angle of the seating position.

I'm using Corbeau brackets on Sparcos seats in my 2nd Gen. Im not tall (5'9") but my set up has definitely lowered the seat position. I've had to raise the rear of the brackets about 1.5" and I sit on a thicker cushion just to get a height where I can comfortably see over the hood.

As always, what's comfortable and whats optimal seating....is subjective.

Corbeau offers a shaved base option on the GTS II and A4 that they say will lower the seating position by an inch. Unfortunately, Corbeau shows the dimensions of their seats, but they don't single out the seat height.

I wonder if anyone has tried attaching seats from another car onto the Corbeau brackets. For those of us that don't know how to weld, if you could bolt other seats onto the sliders of the Corbeau brackets it would open up a lot of options.

you see im also looking at the Baja XRS's but I talked with the guys at Corbeau and they said it would only offer about .5 in of drop, but the trailcats would offer about an inch, but the website shows both have the same base height? Anyone have the Baja XRS's?
