Those steel chain mesh gloves make a world of difference. But yeah, fresh out of the water is a must.

But, they may be ugly, pointy, weird-sounding bottom feeders, but damned if they aren't delicious breaded & fried.

Soooooo good those freshwater scallops omg. Especially when the water starts getting cold. We always fish for them in Oct and Nov, get a big fire going by the water and pout. The camp on the lake, good pout in there?

Have yet to catch any, but a guy I know who fishes it regularly swears that they're in there, on the north end in the weeds. Lots of pike eating anything that swims everywhere else, but I feel like those spikes would be good defense against even the biggest pike.

A few pages back we were talking about mouse traps. With this warm weather melting the snow I can get into my shed. Previous owner built the shed around the pool filter so there’s a hole in the floor around it. This is how I set mine up. Couple of inches of antifreeze in it.

Talking northern brown bullhead. Hornpout. Quite a bit different and a whole lot smaller. Could be I just suck at cleaning fish.

I haven't cleaned a hornpout lately. Best method I found was to make the cuts on the skin (around head, fins, tail), nail the tail to a tree stump with a roofing nail, then pull the skin away with pliers.

Yeah I use a pair of vice grips. Sometimes two. Things are absolutely rugged little bastards. But damned if they don't taste like absolute heaven.

Is there anything anyone uses to keep the rear view camera clean? Rain-x, clarifii, etc?

I usually just rub my finger over the lense once a week, throw a little water on it

I'm constantly having to clear it off with my shirt but was hoping someone would have a recommendation of something hydrophobic so I wouldn't have to as frequently

I bet RainX would work great on it. I will need to grab some next time I'm at the auto parts store since beads of water like to stick on the lens. I have some alcoholic lens wipes that I grab from work that I use whenever it gets a little dirty from the road salt.

I would love to know of a good solution for this also.
RainX doesn't do anything spectacular for the camera. I tried it and didn't notice a difference between using RainX and just washing it. Still got mucked up and blurry.
Interesting... If you use it, let us know please!

I wax mine when I wax the truck, but it doesn't really make much a difference. Just have to wipe it off every so often, or go back to relying on your mirrors. :notsure:
