Anyone using off brand tires?

Good choice, I love my Falkens.

 

This is your tire if you want a solid budget tire. Look em up on YouTube all kinds of reviews especially in the Jeep crowds with some people literally beating the sh!t out of them and having no problems. I just put them on my F150 and they ride smooth and incredibly quite, more like a AT tire. Also for extra input I had Thunderer MTs before these and those were a nice tire as well for a cheaper option, they held up really well got around 50k out them. I’d imagine they’d last even longer a lighter vehicle.

Different experiences I guess as I’d never buy Hankook again, had a set on my old Superduty and all 4 failed before they were even half worn.

 

Interesting, which Hankook?
The dynapro at's are factory tires for the ranger and frontier I thought they were a reliable tire.

 

I have the Hankook dynapro, knock on wood, about 25k and they are doing great so far.

 

I’m sure Hankook is a great brand but my experience with them soured any chance of me being a repeat customer. That said I don’t have the specifics but a lot of these companies are part of other companies sub brands and what not, so in a lot of cases they basically create their own competition for all I know I could buy some other tire brand and it is connected to Hankook and they’re still taking my money also the Hankook tires were the MTs I’m pretty sure they still make them or not I could be wrong

 

I was actually gonna buy those Hankook MT's a while back. Good thing I didn't then. They still sell them for sure, it's one of the cheapest 35 inch mt's you can buy on Amazon.

 

I had a rental pro 4x Frontier that had them. I drove the entire midwest with them and they are by far the quietest all terrain I have had experience with.

 

Most tires coming to the US are no longer Chinese since the tax tariffs. Majority are coming from Thailand now. There are plenty of inexpensive tires that are value and runs really well. Delinte DX9(MT) Delinte DX12(RT) Landsail CLX9 (MT) Landsail CLX12(RT) Ground Speed MT's work really well as well. You can't say all of them are junk. All these tires that come in the state are DOT approved. Bad thing is many tire brands don't make there own product they depend on manufacture factories to produce them. Great example is ironman and Hercules. They have numerous factories that make their tire since they do not own any factories. (Worked as a tire retailer, tire distributor and tire manufacture) I'm not saying to not buy premium tier tires, but to each their own.

Got me a set of BFG ko2s 265/75/16. Only a couple hundred miles on them so far, but absolutely no complaints. MPG stayed the same for the most part and Just came back from a snow trip and they did surprisingly well in the snow

 

I do. Your suspension, whether curb at mall or off road, moves from fully compresses to fully extended. If you lift your truck 3", hitting a bump and compressing your suspension 3" takes it back to original non lifted height. If you rubbed at original height, you will rub lifted. Simple.
