Factory black wheels are different than just spray-painting or plasti-dipping your silver rims. It's not a cheap mod that way. It's a quality factory finish.

I never knew, all I ever remember seeing is wheels that looked like they were black. Gloss, flat, matt, & that crinkle black would probably be my favorite. I'll start looking closer to see if I can tell the difference in the factory painted & the others. I don't know who painted the black on those black & silver FJ wheels, on that blue Taco in the 2nd picture, I know the factory didn't do it, but they really look good. "For me", the best looking wheels I've seen on a Taco no question. And yes, figure this, if a factory paints a steel whl, it's the cheapest they have. If they paint a sport wheel, it's really expensive. The prep on the alum. must be really expensive. OP, please don't get excited, I'm only trying to ruffle your feathers. Do it the way "YOU" like it.

I've seen plenty of trucks for sale with fake stickers. Just don't try to pass it off as the real deal.

So nothing on my question about if we do the modification ourselves to a mutant lovechild that's part TRD and part SR5... Would it be a TR5 as TRD is mainly a suspension and exhaust package.

Well, i have and arb old man emu setup, and the front sway bar is rubbing the bottom of the front shock. It sqeaks like crazy over bumps, and i just now figured out that that was what's making the squeak. Trying to figure out if i can get a different sway bar with more of a curve so it'll clear, or if i just remove it.

removal is an option, unless maybe you tow quite a bit, especially if you have stiffer coils like the 886's. Or, they make sway bar relocate kits. They are basically spacer blocks that lower the sway bar so it eliminates rubbing, Supposedly

seems like a relocation kit is the way to go. I do carry a lot of weight in the bed sometimes. I have 3" of lift, plus a heavy duty leaf pack, so i'm much higher in the back than in the front. Any idea what the best way to level it out is?

Mine is quite a bit higher in the rear than the front. My 3" of lift in the front is down to about 1 1/2" and I have like almost 4" in the rear. Deaver stage III leaf packs rated 1100 pounds 11 leafs with the 2 overloads. I'd like to bring the front back up some but it would only be for looks everything works really well and rides great especially with the camper hooked up lots of tongue weight.
