    Cool stuff
Are the wheels hub centric still? Looks like they can’t be anymore

They're hubcentric without an added ring on the Taco. It's exactly 106.1mm

They're exactly the same except for a larger hub bore?

I like the large hub bore better. Just looks right to my eye.

New ones look like they have thicker spokes and a flatter face than the older style

I'm receiving push back from a tire shop, and their Enkei rep, saying the 16" wheels wont' fit on the Tacoma because of the hub bore. I presume this is with reference to the new smaller bore version.

Has anyone purchased the new style 16" and had any issues? They're saying the 18" will fit, but I'm confused because the Enkei PDF says they have the same bore...
    upload_2020-2-7_14-5-7.jpg

    The rep said:
"Yep, all colors of the the 6x139 wheels all use a cap and the bore of the wheel narrows down from the 106mm hub diameter just inside the bore. The secondary bore where that cap snaps in is too small to fit over the hub. Even if you remove the cap, the hub bottoms out on the lip for the cap. "

    EDIT:
I'm being told now the hub diameter on the 2020 trucks is larger. Can anyone confirm this?

As I said in my PM, the bore diameter of the wheel is 106.1 and the bore diameter of the truck is 106.1. Also you could show him a picture of my 2020 with the wheels mounted. I'll try and pop off a center cap and take a picture for you.

Ok, the guys at Oakos Automotive were very helpful in untangling this.

Here's how it works. The small diameter center cap version will not fit on the Tacoma in 16x8, as the bore tapers too soon and won't fit over the hub. The large diameter no cap version will fit in 16x8, as we all know.
The wider (17" & 18") small center cap versions will fit.

    So it's:

    528-680-8400GM 16x8 Small Center Cap - No
    520-680-8400GM 16x8 Large No Cap - Yes
    528-790-8400GM 17x9 Small Center Cap - Yes
    520-890-8400GM 18x9 Small Center Cap - Yes

Also, there is apparently a print error in the Enkei catalog.
    upload_2020-2-10_10-5-28.jpg

Those bottom wheels are the cap-less, wide hub bore version. The bolt pattern is wrong, it's supposed to be 6x139.7. That's probably why the tire shop I was working with wasn't even looking at them.

Super weird that the 16s taper like that. Glad you got it figured out. The guys at OAKOS are great, that's where I bought mine from. I need to talk to them about a full size spare too.

Apparently it's needed to hold the small center cap in.

Does anyone know if someone makes a hub ring to go from the (2020) Tacoma hub to the larger 108.5 bore version? I’ve looked around an can’t find anything.

    Still in progress...
I’ve decided to take the plunge and get the RPT1s for the new Taco. Planning to go with either 16x8 or 17x9 +0 offsets and (most likely) 265/75R16 or 265/70R17 Pirelli Scorpion A/Ts as they will be used primarily on pavement. Will keep the stock suspension, for now at least, and expect to do a bit of trimming/reshaping at the wheel well.

Any advice to a newbie on which size to go with?

I personally think 16's look too small on these trucks, and 17's are just about right. 17's also leave open the option for brake upgrades.

I just got the 17x9 +12's mounted on my TRD Sport a few weeks ago.
