Don't forget to check if ECGS can get 4.30s for the front :)

I got that rear axle this afternoon. Hoping to call ECGS tomorrow to ask about some options.

Well how's this working out for you? I just bought a front clamshell from a 2018 Tacoma with 10k miles and 4.30 gears. Don't have it in my hands yet, but hopefully in a week or so.

I'm thinking it be quickest and easiest to use that axle and and link it or weld mount and use the tacoma mounts and wheel spacers.

If you find new a good front 4.30 setup I'm interested

Real World info for you .... Running 32's with 4.30's, your engine will be screaming. Dont plan on ever going over 75.

Any time you get a diff built I’d recommend a multi pattern flange. Allows for greater options in the future. Anyhow, I’m running a 3rd gen 4Runner rear driveshaft with a “Tacoma” elocker and this flange, and the driveshaft bolts up just fine. Just make sure to set the preload back where you started or your pinion bearing will be toast in no time.

    Thanks for the input guys.

I ended up selling the diff to ECGS for double what I paid for the entire axle (then sold the rest of it for another $100 on local CL). Then I had ECGS build be new diffs with 4.56 gears in them. I ran them with 265/75/16 S/T Maxx's for a while. It ran really well and was super peppy and responsive around town. With the auto trans I was running about 2700rpm at 75mph. I ended up getting new wheels and decided to get 285/75/16 AT3 XLT's and that set up works well too. RPM's dropped about 100 to about 2600rpm at 75 mph.

I ended up going with 4.56 based on looking at a bunch of numbers I ran on grimmjeeper. Living at 5000' elevation, the higher rpms over stock are welcomed to put the motor in a more usable point of the torque curve.
