Thanks for the kind words fellas. People seem to really like the SWB, me, I'd rather it be a less attractive color due to my driving habits.

Started Saturday 11am at the shop to reassemble and terminate 60 plus connections for the Alarm Remote Start and OTW module. Also, Sound deaden the doors, cavity wax and new speakers. Glass is now in and we toed the truck home last night since the doors are on and its water tight again. Next will be finishing the interior, still need to install the NEW carpet.

Not a bad color match considering there is no blending on this truck. Rest of the body gets installed at home.

And, pretty much how it looked when we brought it home Sunday night. Saturday I worked from 11am to 1145pm on wiring. I now know why Stereo/Alarm shops leave a rats nest under the dash and use awful vampire connectors.... because its quick and easy.

finished the rest of the connections at home last night and a few issues....
    1. Windows go down when push button for up, easy fix, I thought i mixed up a couple wires in the connectors I made to the doors. 535T Window module lives under the dash, so I made connectors at the doors so they can be removed without wire cutters.
    2. remote start does not start, gives 7 flashes, need to check some connections, and make sure MTS mode is initialized.

    Happy Holidays!

Did a little work during thew holiday...

    Bottom of the old cab....
The silver/grey paint is POR15 I was applying to the rust/seams while i was figuring out how to repair/replace the rot in the rockers. The next few pics are of what happens when you cheap out on body work, and or you are a slimy hack used car salesman scum. This truck was in an accident and wasn't reported to CarFax(this is very common), nor was it repaired correctly, yet someone is sleeping at night knowing they got this truck sold to someone else. I did body work for years before finishing school, I know the industry, I know people should have their hands broken for hack work just to make a buck. This stuff really grinds my gears. Body work isn't cheap and if it is (or you are to cheap) this is what you end up with. In reality this was very dangerous due to the high strength steel rocker not being repaired properly.

Absolutely no corrosion protection used what so ever, this is the part of the rocker that keeps you from being crippled in a side impact.

    Now more manageable
    [IMG]

Got the bed on as well
    [IMG]

    Taco To Do List
    - Finish alarm/remote start wiring (clean up)
    - Install carpet & lower interior trim
    - Install body kit rockers/fenders

Original carpet was destroyed due to never using floor-mats and working construction for years.

New rug, new car smell to follow. I went with loop carpet(sort of like Berber style) instead of the typical cut pile. I have lots of trimming to do before the interior is finally installed completely.

    other notes:
    - Bypass for alarm (XK05), is dead, ordered a flashed DB3
    - Head unit is in the truck, and steering controls working using a PAC SWI-CP5

So body skirt bracket that holds body flairs, see bottom of rocker theres studs for brackets in pics of cut up floor ? Was wondering how was mounted .Added skirts to my 4door and used nutsert for rear bracket but front bracket inner structure is about a 1/4 in always so no room for nutserts . Had to go with self tapping bolt .
Yours coming out really nice .You got a lot of work done in a short time .

    hemitruck,
i used nutserts on all the rockers, and yes the inner structure was a bit of an issue, I ended up drilling into it also. When installing the nutserts I had to finesse them a bit when installing by pulling out slightly until it started bulging(hard to explain). The old hack job (rusted cab) used self tappers on all the driver-side rocker (since that was the repair side). Keep in mind the inner structure to the rocker is high strength steel, I broke a bit on it first one I drilled DOH! Luckily I was able to get it out with another drill and cussing.

    Fully dressed, finally

Truck is headed to inspection today, fingers crossed. The truck should have gone last week but I had an SRS error code for the clock spring, arrived and installed yesterday, code is now clear.

Rota Grids, always loved the Volks/Rays TE37s on any vehicle, but I'm not paying Ray's prices for a daily. i also have some Alloygators coming to protect the rims.

No, they weren't necessary. I put them on because I don't wash the daily as often as I should, you get the idea.
