I am trying to decide between the Bilstein 5100's set at 2.5 on the front or a 3 inch spacer lift. I was leaning towards the 5100s until the guy from 4wheel parts told me the bad thing about the 5100s set to the highest setting is they are hard to align and will wear out more parts over time than the spacers. Sorry for the run on sentence! I am definitely going to do add a leaf on the rear.

spacers do the same thing as the 5100's set at top. both throw the caster outta wack and all...gotta get new UCA's to fix that

+1...Any lift will need some other parts to make sure they fit correctly. Depending on what you want to do with the truck is how you should decide what life to use.

Do most people get new UCA's or just run them with the stock ones? I am not going to offroad and the lift is all for looks

w/o the uca's u'll do like said before and add stress to other components and the alignment will never be exactly right. for 4x4's it'll help to do the diff drop no matter what

Caster should be 2.5* to 3.1* to be in spec. Thats with Camber at 0* and toe at 0*

im kinda starting to think i should do a diff drop on my tacoma since i just installed my new suspension. i got a little lift out of it, maybe 2 inches for the front with the ome881 coils............not real sure if its needed tho. i know im gonna save for some tc uca's later on too.

I dont think you need the Diff drop. It only changes things a few degrees, and it moves your diff down and more likely to hit something when off roading.

Ummmm.......If I were you, I would tell them to set Camber at 0* and Toe at 0* I have a feeling your front tires look like this: \ / when veiwed from the front.

    Mine is (after lift):
    Left:
    Camber .9
    Caster 3.4
    Toe -.02

    Right:
    Camber .5
    Caster 3.6
    Toe -.02

That seems WAY different from the above numbers...

I have to take it in tomorrow(-ish) to get the alignment redone since I adjusted the coilvers... I was planning on telling them to set the Caster at 2.4 based on ToKu's thread from ToyotaNation.com.

Just tell them to set the Camber at 0* and the Toe at 0*. The Caster should fall into spec. With the TC UCA's your going to have a little more Camber than stock. Probably around 3*. This is a good thing as it will track really nice. :)
