I mean. I've driven on some really garbage suspension on Omaha roads and the Taco rides like a somewhat discombobulated Caddy by comparison.

A set of suspension that requires upkeep versus new OEM bits seem like a big leap.

    yes, i really don't know
they checked it out at Village Pointe and did not notice the shock absorbers leaking (if that is the only way to check) and i don't have a clue how to tell if they are indeed bad and worn :notsure: ... no real erratic front nose diving on stopping

Bounce test, extra squad and dive, leaking internals, and time. However if you trust both mechanics who've looked at them, no reason not to believe um. Most places will just say "oh man these are awful" and charge you.

i cannot say i can trust anybody much anymore :( i just recently found some potential damage (minor) done by the body shop maybe about 10 years ago!time is the only thing with this suspension as far as i can tell
the back firms up real nicely in just one bounce it seems

Considering most places are happy to do struts and suspension because it is a relatively low effort job with a good set of part markups, it would be nice to hear that they didn't automatically say to do them ASAP.

I usually replace parts before they are completely shot so I’m not a rolling hazard to other drivers on the road

i am going to try the monroe quick strut assemblies for $100(ish) each to see if that makes a bit of difference
those adjustable ones are pricey and have to be rebuilt occasionally depending on use

Shocks are a consumable part. They have to be replaced or rebuilt after a period of time. No different than brakes, belts or clutches.

    your '18 Taco?
on I-80s myriad of trouble spots

i have been reading that the Kings are not so good with corrosion buildup and require some extra time consuming maintenance, like every year in some cases, take them off to get rebuilt somewhere, revalved, etc IDK

what's a set of those run? Kings are over $1100
do they need semi-annual maintenance or anything? take them off and get revalved
